Today I made a recipe for "plums in chocolate" jam.
I recently saw this recipe. Before that, I didn't know it could be made this way. I love making any jam. I often make jam in season, especially when there is a lot of fruit and it is cheap. We have a summer house, and there are also fruit trees there. I have sealed many jars with cherries, apricots, and peaches. This time we will make plum jam in chocolate. This is an incredibly delicious jam. It is suitable for cheesecakes, pancakes, crepes and just spread on toast.
This recipe has won me over.
Ingredients:
2 kg plums
1 kg sugar
5 tbsp cocoa
2 tbsp vanilla sugar
First, wash the plums and dry them. Remove the pits and cut them into quarters. It will not take much time.
Cover the plums with sugar, but not completely. Leave 200 g of sugar for later. Stir. Leave the plums to release juice for 4 hours. I left the plums overnight.
Watch how they release juice.
Now add five tablespoons of cocoa, the remaining sugar, and vanilla sugar.
Stir and put on the fire. This is the mixture we got.
Cook the jam for about an hour, stirring occasionally.
Pour the jam into prepared sterilized jars and wrap them in a warm towel. I got four jars.
When my son comes, we will open and eat.
I read that this jam can be made with cherries. Next year I will make a "cherry in chocolate" jam.
