Hi everyone, it started with my family and I visiting the city of Banda Aceh a few days ago. I wanted to tell the continuation of the story of the culinary tour, the result of traveling around the city all day and having the opportunity to visit several traditional fast food stalls in Banda City. Aceh and also had the opportunity to try several types of traditional Acehnese dishes from several food stalls that we had visited, which inspired me to try one type of food that had been served to us at one of the stalls we visited at that time, namely Mie Atjeh.
Atjeh noodles are a typical traditional food originating from Aceh, and this type of food is only produced by people of the Atjeh tribe, so it could be said that this type of food has never been produced by other tribes in Indonesia. In ancient times this type of traditional food could only be found in the province of Aceh, it would not be available in other provinces in Indonesia, but nowadays this is because many Acehnese tribes have migrated to other regions in Indonesia and they have settled in This area means that Atjeh Noodles currently exist in other areas as a result of the production of native Acehnese who immigrated to certain areas in Indonesia.
Inspired by our family's culinary tour a few days ago to try cooking Acehnese noodles with a simple recipe that we quoted from a chef at one of the fast food stalls in Banda Aceh City, and we tried cooking it at home. Mie Atjeh is made from yellow noodles typical of Aceh, and we can easily get these yellow noodles in traditional markets in Aceh province, while regarding the spices we buy ready-to-eat spices in Aceh traditional markets, because in Aceh traditional markets special traditional spices are available to mix Atjeh Noodles. , apart from the noodle seasoning, we just need to add some finely sliced celery stalks, tomato sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt soup leaves, seasonings and so on.
After the Atjeh Noodles are ready to be served we need to complete them with young cucumbers which are thinly sliced, it would be more perfect to eat these Atjeh Noodles accompanied by the cucumbers, for those of you who like it spicy maybe you can add more spicy sauce sprinkled on top. over the Atjeh Noodles when you want to eat them.
Apart from that, we complement the other accompaniments with fried tuna, maybe this is a little different from the presentation at the stall we visited that day, at the fast food stall we visited that day they served fried shrimp and fried squid as a complement to the Atjeh Noodles. and eaten at the same time as eating the Atjeh Noodles.
then as a complement to the sauce, we served the typical Acehnese lem lemak sauce as a complement to the Atjeh Noodles and ate it together with white rice later, whereas at the fast food stall we visited a few days ago they complemented it with typical Acehnese rendang sauce as a complement to the Atjeh Noodles meal, even though it was a little The presentation is different, but we still get the sensation of eating Atjeh Noodles which is typical of the traditional Acehnese people.
As seen in the picture, that's what Atjeh Noodles looks like, which is a typical traditional food of the Acehnese tribe, this is an experiment for us as a family, the taste may still be very different from what is cooked by the Acehnese tribe, our curiosity is high to try it at home. The results are quite delicious and certainly filling because this type of food is classified as solid food.
That curiosity is still embedded in our minds, it seems that we are not optimal in terms of sometimes the noodle seasoning that is sprinkled when we first cook Atjeh Noodles, we need to cook it again another time, and at another time we will add more seasoning to the noodles. so that the taste of the spices is more pronounced on the tongue when eating the Atjeh Noodles, perhaps we will do that another time.
Hopefully this can inspire all of you, try new things from what we encounter while exploring, and become an important lesson for all of our daily lives.
