Today I went to lunch at a restaurant called Pepper Lunch, I came here with my friend. This Pepper Lunch is in several malls in Medan, and this time I ate at Pepper Lunch which is located at Center Point Mall.
Actually it's my first time eating here, because it's usually always crowded and hard to get a seat. But this time it's quiet so I can eat here. The place is quite comfortable and spacious, the service is also fast, the waiters are friendly.
The menu choices here are quite a lot, and for the food choices, everything is served on a hotplate. Food choices start with rice with beef, chicken, salmon and vegetables, then there are also several pasta options, and there are also steaks as well as teriyaki and sukiyaki. While the choice of drinks is not too much, there are only sodas and several variants of tea. If you order lemon tea, you will get a free refill. There are also some side dishes, ice cream, dessert, light bites and salads.
And this time i won't order much food because i will eat again elsewhere, but actually i'm quite hungry so i'll order rice. What I ordered this time was Chicken Pepper Rise, this is one of the favorite menus here.
The rice is shaped into a round shape and placed in the middle of the hotplate and then there is chicken around it. And with black pepper, corn kernels and leaves I don't know the name of.
Before eating it, the rice is stirred first to mix with the chicken and corn as well as the black pepper and spices that are already in the rice. Stir until well mixed, after that the rice can be eaten.
Let's try it, honestly the rice is very good, the chicken is also good. But it doesn't have a spicy taste at all, there is only a salty and savory taste, for me who likes spicy then I need to add chili powder or sauce. And when I add soy sauce and chili powder it tastes perfect, especially if you eat it while the rice is still hot.
As for the drink, I ordered lemon tea, it tastes the same as the taste of lemon tea in general. Sweet with a little sour. And if you order lemon tea, you will get free refill, but in my opinion there is no need for additional refill, this is enough because the glass is also quite large and full.
This is my lunch menu today at Pepper Lunch, chicken pepper rice and lemon tea. This is a delicious menu and maybe you can try it too.
