Adobong manok (Filipino stew) is a classic dish from the Philippines. Chicken, garlic, onions, bay leaves, peppercorns, oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, and white vinegar are used to make this Filipino adobo. The chicken is chopped into pieces and marinated in a mixture of the ingredients listed above (except oil).
After that, it's browned in oil over medium heat. The remaining marinade is combined with the water and poured over the browned chicken. The adobong manok is served with white rice on the side after simmering over high heat until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
