If I recall, the moment I began eating at District V, my stomach was so full it might explode! But really, I never thought a 99-peso meal could make me so full even without rice. You know, being a Filipino, we are all rice lovers; in everything, we would always prefer to have rice than eat without it. From breakfast to dinner, rice would always be present, but in this place I am about to share, I find it really hard to eat rice while taking a bite of their food! Because in just a minute my stomach was already so full.
Unfortunately, I was born with a small stomach; I can't eat that much even though I want to a lot because I love food so much! Food is everything to me. Happy? Then eat! Sad?! Then eat! Stress? Then eat a lot! Yup! That's me. If I had so much time, I would spend a lot of time preparing my food; even a simple dish would look so appetizing if I were to make it because I love doing that so I could eat happily because it takes a lot of effort to want to eat something with gusto.
Have you heard of District V? This place is so appetizing! And if you love breakfast food such as hot dogs, ham, pasta, and more, you really have to go and try their food! Don't worry because they also have cakes, coffee, shakes, and burgers here! I wish I had tried their burger overload because it looks really good, but anyways, about their food, it was super juicy and will always be served hot and freshly cooked.
From my first visit here, I ordered their Meaty Pasta because I really love anything that is pasta, so I really wanted to try it. And it was really worth it to try! Their pasta was super delicious, even though it's not sweet and creamy, though it was a bit oily for me. The sausage was the best on this plate ever! I did not order rice this time because of the pasta, but thankfully I never did because it really made me full, and I almost was not able to finish my plate. I also ordered their cookies and cream shake and so far it was the best shake I have tried because it was not too sweet. ❤︎
Then my second time around, I wanted to challenge myself, and I was really eager to eat a lot that time; therefore, I ordered their Meaty Overload in a skillet to eat like a king, like they say! For only 99 pesos, you'll have sunny-side-up eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, and potato wedges. The sausage was the same sausage I tried during my first order, which was the meaty pasta. The bacon was good, but it was not as crispy as how I like my bacon, but I enjoyed the potato wedges so much because they were super crispy! I even ordered rice because I thought I could eat it all with ease, but I was wrong because halfway through finishing my plate, I was already having a hard time. ❤︎

It's in Guimbal, literally right next door to Virginia Food Inc., so discovering it is no problem. If you're coming from the city, just ride the jeep into Guimbal and then motorcycle the remaining bit; you can just ask the driver to take you to District V, and he'll know it. And remember the fair fee: if you ride a motorbike from there, it's only 15 to 20 pesos! Furthermore, they're open from 8 AM to 7 PM, so no matter what time of day you're going for an early coffee, snack, or dinner with friends, you've got loads of time to drop by!
I really loved coming to eat at this place, not only for their affordable food but also because of the excellent quality of their food as well as the visual of the whole place. It really fits the wants of Millennials like me. It's also a great place to take a lot of pictures!

How pretty is District V?
For me District V's interior is absolutely full of this warm, modern vibe, and it's just perfect for chilling with your friends or enjoying some me-time. The wooden and industrial elements are combined to make it warm and cozy at the same time. The lighting is all soft and inviting as well, making it totally laid-back and comfy, particularly in the evening. There are comfortable chairs and nicely set tables, whether you're popping by for a snack or going to hang around for a bit. There are these simple but aesthetic decor pieces on the walls that totally make it complete in the charm department, making it an awesome place to take pictures. It's definitely the type of place where you'd like to drink coffee, eat good food, and enjoy the laid-back vibe.
District V really got me hooked—not just with the delicious food but with the cozy atmosphere that surrounds you. The strong flavors, the cozy atmosphere, and the value meals create a restaurant that you keep going back to. If you like good food that takes care of your body and soul, this is the restaurant to go to! I just can't wait to go back!

Ohh, more dish in one order for 99 pesos. Meron din samin ng ganito n pakulo, but usually one dish lang with rice na may veggies. Not sure though if some shop have this too. But for 99 ha, sulit na, especialky ulam palang busog kana. No need to get unli rice if ever.
