This is called "Rava Kesari". So let's see how to make this delicious rava kesari.
Ingredients;
- 1 cup of semolina
- 1.25 cups of sugar
- Two tablespoons of raisins
- One and half tablespoons of cashew nuts
- Four tablespoons of oil
- A pinch of salt
- Two cups of boiled water
- A tablespoon of ghee
- A drop of yellow food colouring
The method of making;
Oil the inside of the tray where the mixture will be placed.
Add two table spoons of oil to the pan, add chopped cashew nuts and raisins and fry for two to three minutes on medium flame. Remove them from the pan.
Now add the semolina cup to the same pan.Fry the semolina well for a minute or two.
Now slowly add two cups of well boiled water.
Stir well. Then the mixture will thicken.
Now add sugar. Add and stir. Then the mixture will melt. Then add a pinch of salt to it.
Add a drop of yellow food colouring.
Mix well and keep heat low flame.
Now add the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil and then add one tablespoon of ghee and stir.
Now add a teaspoon of chopped cardamom only if available.
Finally add roasted cashew nuts and raisins and stir fry.
Stir well and remove from the heat.
Now put this prepared semolina mixture on a previously spread oil tray and thin out.
After about 5 minutes, cut the pieces.
This delicious dessert is a very popular delicious dessert in my neighboring country India. A sweet dessert. This Rava Kesari is definitely prepared for the festivals there. So I tried it too. Really very tasty. And this is a dessert for sweet lovers. I invite you to make it and taste it.
