Al ver el empaque, que es notablemente similar al de las Club Social, no pude evitar sentir curiosidad y un poco de recelo, porque a simple vista las ví como una imitación de las "club social". El nombre, además, juega con la cercanía al original, lo que me llevó a preguntarme si realmente se trataba de una copia o si habíamos encontrado una nueva alternativa para disfrutar.

The name also plays with the proximity to the original, which led me to wonder if it was really a copy or if we had found a new alternative to enjoy.
Como venezolana, hay ciertos sabores que inevitablemente me transportan a mi infancia, y uno de esos es, sin duda, el de las galletas Club Social. Estas galletas han sido un clásico en nuestra cultura, y su combinación de un sabor ligeramente salado con un toque dulce las convirtió en un snack para niños y adultos, recuerdo haberlas comiendo con mucha frecuencia en mi infancia, tanto que puedo recordar su sabor exacto.
As a Venezuelan, there are certain flavors that inevitably take me back to my childhood, and one of those is, without a doubt, Club Social cookies. These cookies have been a classic in our culture, and their combination of a slightly salty flavor with a sweet touch made them a snack for children and adults, I remember eating them very often in my childhood, so much so that I can remember their exact flavor.
Al abrir los paquetes, note que el diseño de las Cracky Club es muy parecido al de las Club Social, lo que puede llevar a confusiones. Sin embargo, al observarlas más de cerca, las diferencias son evidentes. Las galletas Club Social son más puntiagudas y sus huequitos están más definidos, además de que vienen en paquetes de cuatro galletas. Por otro lado, las Cracky Club son un poco más gruesas, con bordes redondeados y un diseño menos marcado; cada paquete contiene tres galletas.
Upon opening the packages, note that the design of the Cracky Club is very similar to that of the Club Social, which can lead to confusion. However, upon closer inspection, the differences are obvious. Club Social crackers are more pointed and their holes are more defined, and they come in packs of four crackers. On the other hand, Cracky Club crackers are slightly thicker, with rounded edges and a less pronounced design; each package contains three crackers.
El momento clave llegó cuando me dispuse a probar ambas galletas. Mi primera impresión al probar las Club Social fue algo decepcionante. No lograré percibir ese característico sabor saladito que solía resaltar su dulzura. De hecho, me parecieron un tanto insípidas, comparadas con lo que recordaba de años anteriores. No sé qué pasó pero estás no eran las mismas.
The key moment came when I set out to try both cookies. My first impression when I tasted the Club Social was somewhat disappointing. I will not be able to perceive that characteristic salty flavor that used to highlight their sweetness. In fact, they seemed a bit bland compared to what I remembered from previous years. I don't know what happened but these were not the same.
Por otro lado, las Cracky Club me sorprendieron bastante. En lugar del sabor salado que esperaba, estas galletas tenían un dulzor que me recordó a alguna galleta familiar, aunque no lograba identificar cuál. La combinación de su textura más gruesa con ese sabor dulzón resultó ser una experiencia agradable. De hecho, hasta le comenté a mi novio sobre esta comparación, y él coincidió conmigo: las Cracky Club tenían un sabor más atractivo y un toque especial. Él las acompañó con un poco de mantequilla de maní para ver cómo quedaba y quedó muy complacido.
On the other hand, the Cracky Club cookies surprised me quite a bit. Instead of the salty taste I was expecting, these cookies had a sweetness that reminded me of a familiar cookie, although I couldn't identify which one. The combination of their thicker texture with that sweet taste turned out to be a pleasant experience. In fact, I even told my boyfriend about this comparison, and he agreed with me: the Cracky Club had a more appealing taste and a special touch. He paired them with some peanut butter to see how it tasted and was very pleased.
Tras esta experiencia, debo decir que, aunque las Club Social son un ícono en nuestro país, las Cracky Club han logrado captar mi atención y, a mi parecer, su apariencia parecida a las "Club social"puede ser un gancho para que la gente se vea interesada a probarlas. No estoy completamente segura si se trata de una imitación o de una nueva propuesta, pero definitivamente me inclinaría más hacia la segunda opción.
After this experience, I must say that, although the Club Social are an icon in our country, the Cracky Club have managed to capture my attention and, in my opinion, their appearance similar to the “Club social” may be a hook for people to be interested in trying them. I am not completely sure if this is an imitation or a new proposal, but I would definitely lean more towards the second option.
