Today's Dessert: Mango Graham Float

The main product of the province of Zambales is mangoes, and we are celebrating Dinamulag Festival here because of that. We have different varieties of mangoes planted around the province, and during the mango season, there are a lot of them that tourists and locals can buy. It is the best dessert, but sometimes we want to elevate it.

There are different kinds of recipes for ripe mangoes, and we have seen a few posted here as well. But for today, we would also like to share with everyone the Mango Graham Float that we prepared today.

Since we have a lot ripe mangoes stored in our refrigerator, we have decided to make a very popular dessert. First, we listed down the ingredients that we need:

  • Ripe Mangoes
  • Graham Crackers
  • Nestlé All Purpose Cream
  • Condensed Milk

And when we already finalized what we needed, we went to the market to buy the ingredients we don't have yet.

After getting the ingredients ready, we grabbed the ripe mangoes and peeled them off. We have prepared a few pieces of ripe mangoes, especially those that are already over-riped. When we peeled them off, we then started to slice them into thin and tiny pieces.

The next thing that we did is mix the other ingredients – the milk and cream. We made sure that they are mixed really well so it will taste good. We bought two all purpose cream and two cans of sweet condensed milk, plus four packs of Graham crackers.

When the ingredients are ready, we started making the layers. On the first layer, we put the graham crackers in the flat surface of the container, then we put and spread the milk. After that, the slices of mangoes are placed on the second layer.

After the preparation of the layers, we refrigerated the mango graham float for about 3 hours. Then, they are good to go. We tasted it, and all our efforts were worth it. It was indeed a delicious dessert.

And that sums up our day! We are looking forward to the next activity / happenings we will be sharing here at Hive Community.
