Do you miss having soups in summer ?
If the answer is yes, then this recipe is for you. If you are not a beetroot fan, this will surely turn you into one. Would you believe it, if I would say this is my first beet post on the feed 😂😂
Despite of its gorgeous "deep red" color, it never made it to my feed. Reason being, I always wanted to shoot beetroot stuff on a subtle grey backdrop & never had any till few days back. By the time I got a nice grey backdrop, I was a changed person & started experimenting more with colors & shot this beautiful cold soup on a earthy beige backdrop.
This beautiful backdrop has been sent to me by my daddy dearest all the way from Bangalore almost two months back.
How much prejudiced we are when it comes to experimenting with colors, isn't it ? We always & always want to try the safest color combinations & never give it a second thought. Why only complementary colors why not anything else ?
Personally I feel, just like in clothing ... more than what we wear , how we wear holds more significance.
Similarly in compositing an image, more than what we use .. how we use it, is more important. Don't you guy's Agree ??
Anyways here's a quick recipe
In a wok, on a medium low heat flame, Sautee 1/2 cup chopped onion, about 3-4 garlic cloves, 4 beetroots (peeled & chopped). Add 2 cups water, cover & simmer.
Cool it down & blend it in a high speed blender along with 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup chopped dill leaves, 2 tbsp lemon juice, some salt & pepper.
Blend it till you get a nice silky smooth concoction.
Devour it chilled, garnished with yogurt & dill leaves.
Hope you guys had a great day ❤
