Hello everyone here on hive community blogging. It is a blessing that I can write again. If it wasn't for wifi I couldn't write. I'm from South Africa and love writing about food and my family.
Here in South Africa, there is a big heatwave. It's very, very hot. The degrees are in the 40s, and who is feeling like making some food in this heat? Not me though. My house is very hot, and even the fans don't even help.
Today I made a noodles salad. It's cool and easy to prepare. The only thing I made on the stove was the macaroni.
Let me show you guys what I made for us. 🫠
I made a mixture of macaroni salad. I added:
♡Cucumber♡
☆Lettuce☆
♤Onions♤
♧cheese♧
●2 leftover sausages●
◇Celery ◇
○Tomatoes○
□Mayonnaise and chakalaka chutney□
■500g macaroni■
•3 Eggs•
°Salt &pepper for taste°
First up, I cooked the macaroni until it was cooked and rinsed it with cold water, and then I put it in a bowl. Because it was very hot, I made the macaroni in the morning and put it in the freezer to let it stay cool.
When my baby took her afternoon nap, I started to prepare the salad even when it was very, very hot, though. I took a big onion and chopped it up.
Next up I took 2 celery sticks and chopped them up add them to the macaroni.
I had a small piece of Lettuce l chopped it up and added it to the macaroni.
Here comes my favorite, Cucumber. I also chopped it up.
I had 2 left over sausages I add it to the macaroni.
A salad must have tomatoes in it. It's always nice with a tomato. I added 1 tomato.
I added some cheese as well.
I dont know if you guys like boiled eggs in a salad, our South Africans loves eggs in this kind of salads.
Now for the sauce. I added a little bit of milk to the Mayonnaise the Mayonnaise was at the emtyside haha.
After I mixed the sauce together I poor it over the food and mixed it well added some salt and pepper, and there it is my salad were done and into the freezer to cool down.
