We aren’t huge fans of Okonomiyaki as I find them too heavy and filling but we thought since we are in Japan for a few months, let’s do it at least once. I guess that was a good choice as the boys were looking forward to it, in particular able to book something themselves other than just yakinaku (Japanese BBQ). We didn’t have to book, just lined up like everyone else when we put our names down. Try to have your name in Japanese so the attendants can call your name out easily.
There were lots of choices on the menu. We ordered a variety of food that could be cooked on the hot plate plus ones that are already made food for the boys as they were super hungry after our onsen. As you can see from the menu, the food was very reasonably priced though some of the dishes were a little smaller than expected but it was delicious.
The highlight would be the Okonomiyaki and the staff was great at explaining to use how to cook it. But in fact, they would cook it for you but in case it does get too busy, we would move it a little in case it gets stuck on the plate. There was just lots of food, so ordering two Okonomiyaki maybe wasn’t a good idea as it was pretty filling on top of the other side dishes we ordered. Taste wise I think it was average, nothing to be excited about. I probably wouldn’t go here again if I had another chance and try something else.

I tried Okonomiyaki in Osaka. I tried it once but it was so good and true, fulfilling.
nice! yes we aren't fans of it but still wanted to try this place
