Hi Everyone,
During our stay in Tokyo, I met up with my primary school friend who was also in Japan for holidays. The kids grew up together even though we had less due to school commitments, this catch-up was much needed. Booking a restaurant in Japan for so many people can be challenging but I was able to find a somen restaurant that suited everyone’s food choices.
To my surprise, we were given a room, and what was even nicer, they had written a personal note to us thanking us for choosing them. They had my name and all on the message. The kids were seated on one side so they could chat, and the adults on the other so we could order food suitable for us. Somen was the main dish we ordered for each person, and we ordered various sides like sashimi and tempura.
The menu was in Japanese, so Google Translate was much needed, as some of the ingredients were a bit hard to read for us. Various warm somens were ordered as it was winter, and I ordered their signature: a bowl of somen with 9 of their toppings, all for you to try at the same time. It was such a great idea, and I’m glad I ordered this so I can try everything at once.
The food was fabulous, and the room was perfect for our group. The service was fast, and the best part was that we had a great catch-up. Best of all, the meal was $120 per family, which wasn’t a bad price considering we did order a lot of food and drinks.

It's so nice to go to a restaurant where food that everybody likes is available. I heard that Japan has a lot of delicious food. I am happy reading that all of you were having fun. Have a good day.
What a beautiful menu. For a family meal and in Japan I see the price as standard. I liked the service.
Good to see you two reunited. The best thing is to be able to enjoy experiences like this and eat delicious food.
