Hi Everyone,
One of the places I love going to occasionally are these Japanese sweet/candy stores. They stock old-school snacks which cost 10 yen to current snack prices. I love trying out different snacks and candy and I've seen online many parents would give their kids a small amount of money and allow them to choose what they wanted. Kids often have a stack of snacks/sweets in their basket.
This time, we allowed our kids to pick what they wanted but they had to pay with their Christmas money. They received lots of money over Christmas so this is the place they wanted to spend it. These stores are packed with goodies, lots of different colours, and packaging. BB M bought the most, he paid 1500 for over 10 items. BB E was more conservative and spent around 1000 yen for 8 items. He didn't want to spend over as we just started on this trip. Wise boy.
If you are in Japan, make sure to stop by one of these old-school candy stores, you won't be disappointed.

Especially a cool place to take the kids to. I am curious if the sweets are different than in other countries?
Nostalgic Child Hood memories.
The amazing thing is that all of these candies shops look quite the same .
