Hello Foodie Hiveians! Have you ever tried stress-eating after a day's work? That's what I did at Sulbing Dessert Cafe located in IT Park, BPO district of Cebu. I haven't visited this area for quite a while. Lots of high-rise buildings are already built here. I can remember the times when there were still minimum structures around. I would sometimes do some jogging and chill out at a grassy vacant area where people would also hang out or bring their pets. With the streets getting busy, I think it would no longer be viable.
When my boyfriend and I met at the IT Park, we were originally planning to dine at a restaurant called the Pyramid, which looks so similar to the Louvre Pyramid, a museum in Paris. It didn't go as planned since the restaurant dine in was still not available at that time. Dine 'in' is served outside the resto. It was a scorching hot day so we just scouted around the area to look for some restaurants where we could 'dine in' and enjoy our late lunch with some dessert. Just nearby, we saw Sulbing Dessert Cafe. It got both what we were looking for, lunch and desserts.
Sulbing Dessert Cafe, specializes on Bingsu or Bingsoo, a shaved ice dessert that is famous in Korea. It is made of ice shavings topped with fruits and sweets like condensed milk, chocolate, or ice cream. A Bingsu is comparable to a Filipino's favorite shaved ice treat, the Halo-Halo. Every Halo-Halo has common ingredients such as jackfruit, mung bean, Leche flan, mango, purple yam, and ice cream, which may only differ on the flavor of the ice cream and the ratio and completeness of its components. What makes the Bingsu different is that the dessert has a variety of flavors. The one we ordered in Sulbing Dessert cafe was Blueberry Mango. It is like blueberry and mango cheesecakes turned into an iced treat. Other What I really like about the Bingsu is the super fine creamy shaved ice. Maybe they used milk instead of water as ice. A serving of Bingsu costs around 400 pesos or less depending on the flavor you choose.

Before the dessert, we had first our lunch. We ordered Pork Bulgogi and Cheese Ramen with steamed rice. Our food was also served with Kimchi as a side dish. Since my companion is not so fond of Kimchi, I have 2 bowls all for myself! (Good luck kidneys 😁) I was a bit tempted to order more Pork Bulgogi but I remembered that we still have a big bowl of Bingsu for dessert. The Pork Bulgogi has a zest of sweetness in it. I'm a fan of sweet dishes, so it's a two thumbs up for me.
Once in a while, it's important to have some time to unwind, and going on food trips is a great way to do so. Excited for the next new spot to visit!
Love Lots,
@wandergirl ❤️

That photo of the Bingsu is mouthwatering! will check this place out once I'm in IT park!
Indeed @indayclara ! They also have another branch in Country Mall but I think it's cozier in IT Park.
Wooh @wandergirl , now that's a dessert. That combination of mango, chocolate and ice cream is totally magical, finger-licking good. It would be fabulous if you could find the original recipe and ask to share it. Thanks for sharing the feast you had with your boyfriend.
Hi @bravofenix! I'll try to find a recipe that's similar to this one. 😁
