RAINBOW CARROTS ?! 🌈 🥕

The other day when we went shopping, I came across this bag in the organic food section 'Organic rainbow carrot' and I was like 'Whoa!'. I have actually never seen this. Not sure if I have not been observant or it's a new thing... All I had known was an orange carrot!

Now that I have done a bit of research, turned out, I have been under a rock all these years. Many colors of carrots exist for hundreds of years and they are actually a superfood! Different colors have different health benefits. When it comes in one bag like the one I found, that's so awesome!

Regular carrots which in this case, I refer to the orange carrot because that's all I knew before I found that bag of rainbow carrots just a few days ago... We know the regular carrots have a lot of beta carotene due to its super orange color. Good for skin, nail, and hair.

Now for the rainbow carrots with 5 different colors, each one of them has its own featured nutrients and benefits so, here's the conclusion of what I have done a bit of study.

  • Orange carrots contain beta and alpha carotene pigment which promotes vitamin - essential for healthy eyes.

  • Yellow carrots contain xanthophylls and lutein. - keeps your reproductive system strong.

  • Red carrots are rich in lycopene, one of the most powerful antioxidants in the world. - fights against toxins help prevent cancer, helps to alleviate neuropathic pain, is good for your brain, improves heart health.

  • Purple carrots are rich in anthocyanins, - can improve memory, enhance vision, protect against heart attacks, act as anti-inflammatories, and even help control weight.

  • White carrots has a lot of fiber (just like any other kinds) that eases digestion

I had all those different colors of carrots the other day and oh my my my, isnt' it feel good with all the crunch, a slightly different taste and of course, the beautiful 5 different colors.


I ate them fresh with Gochujang red chili pepper

I cooked them in a Japanese curry


I ate them raw and SUPER CRUNCHY in my ASMR video


I will start eating the rainbow carrots more often
