Here we are again, at Thingamajiggy Coffee Roaster, right next to the rice field – or, if I could say, right in the rice field. That's probably accurate. It's not my first time; I've visited a few times and, again today, probably not my last. I love taking people visiting Chiang Mai to this place, and they seem to enjoy it too.
Thingamajiggy Coffee Roaster is both a coffee roaster and a coffee shop, offering a unique view of the rice field and the blue sky in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai – about 20 to 30 minutes from Chiang Mai City. I've been here with my boyfriend, a friend, and today with my aunt. They all liked it. Another friend, the same one, also joined because he lives just five minutes away and loves when people come closer to his house in Mae Rim. Normally, he has to go out to the city to meet people.
I love the bright atmosphere, the clean setup with shades and big tables – a coffee shop built of a wooden house. Thingamajiggy has an in-house bakery and quite a variety of drinks. The first time, I believe I tried dirty coffee, latte coffee, or Americano – if I remember right. This time, just today, I tried a few desserts my aunt ordered: coconut cake and banana cake. They were both so delicious. Today's coffee was their special tea, Kam Hom, which actually means "good smell bite," though I'm not quite sure why. It's a unique way of serving coffee, with an espresso shot at the bottom and a dirty shot on top. With this order, you can enjoy both hot and cold coffee, as well as black and milky coffee. It's kind of cool. I didn't regret it, even though the espresso shot was quite strong and intense. My aunt and I ate a bunch, and it's nice to catch up with a friend who lives here. It's like our spot in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai, already. Anyways, Thingamajiggy Coffee Roaster is super nice and unique. I totally recommend checking it out if you're ever in Chiang Mai City or in Mae Rim.

Oh, beautiful place 😍
So is!
I love this view, it looks so amazing!
Thingamajiggy Coffee Roaster: where 'good smell bite' meets 'I can't believe it's in a rice field' – the only place where you can sip on a coffee that's as unique as its name and as layered as the Mae Rim landscape!
