Drinking coffee while it is sunny or raining is one of the things that can make me relax and calm. Without coffee, my life is not complete. LOL
For today's blog, let me share with you the food that we ate last Monday. It was when we were supposed to go home because it was raining, but my aunts were suggesting we stop by the coffee shop first to buy coffee. So, our grandparents will experience and taste to drink in a coffee shop and not just always drink a 3-in-1 coffee.
So hello there again! This time, I will share with you the coffee and food that we tried to taste last Monday. But it's not new food or coffee because you can see it everywhere in some coffee shops near your place too.
But of course, coffee shops have different bartenders and different ways or recipes for how they will cook and make coffee.
I went out with my family last Monday, and after our adventures, we decided to return home due to the awful weather. During the trip, we decided to visit "The Coffee Library and Roastery," located in Tplex, Rosario La Union, to drink coffee.
When we arrived, the spots outside were wet because of the rain. Actually, this is not the first time that I will taste the coffee and food at The Coffee Library. I had an experience with some acquaintances when I was in high school, but their first coffee shop branch is located at a different location, but it is still in the same area, which is in Rosario, La Union. But this happened in 2019, so it's been a long time, and I already forgot the taste. Lol so I think I will temporarily consider it that it was my first time again.
What I like about their new branch's coffee shop look is that it's much better than before. Because the vibe before was like a coffee shop in an old era, and there's a library inside where you can also read a lot of books while drinking your coffee and eating your food. And that is what I liked before—their books! They have a lot of books inside, and you can read them for free, but then, when we go inside, they don't have a library anymore
and I feel disappointed. But why do they still call it the Coffee Library if the library is gone inside?
Hmmm... But I think looking like this is still a good way of attracting customers. It's an aesthetic vibe for rich people. I don't know why my family chose to go here if I only have cents in my pocket. Charought! Haha
At first, I sat in the middle because it's the only available spot. We are not fitted on the spot where our aunt sits, and as an introverted person, I was low-key scared if other people were looking at me. I don't like being the center of attention. So I really prayed that the other customers would finish their food right away and go out already, so I would sit on the other side.
THE MENU:
Their food menu costs the same and looks like what I had on the "Tita Gee's Café". I was supposed to have a pizza, but it's not available. So I decided to order their buffalo wings and iced caramel macchiato.
While waiting for our order, I took a selfie picture. But when I zoomed in to see if my picture turned out well, I saw a familiar face at the counter. My ex was one of the bartenders. He's working there.
Finally! We had a spot where we could sit and eat together. It's on the side already, so I couldn't sit in the middle, and after minutes of waiting, our order arrived.
The Coffee Library Buffalo Wings
What I thought when I was ordering was that the food would be just buffalo wings with no rice or anything on the plate. But when it arrived, I was shocked by what they served me because I don't plan to eat rice, so I chose this dish. But it comes with rice and a lettuce salad.
It was my aunt who ordered my food from the waitress, and instead of ordering without rice, she ordered the one with rice.
I am also disappointed with the sauce because they didn't put a lot in it. I mean, look, I still saw the fried wings. It was better if they put it on the container with the sauce, shake it, and put it on the plate so the sauce would spread evenly.
But the plating is good and clean. When I also try to taste it. It was delicious. Not that salty and not too sweet, just a balance of flavoring. The meat of the chicken wings is also smooth inside and not overfried. Which is good, and I'm satisfied. I also tried to dip it in the mayonnaise sauce, and it's more delicious. So, I was really enjoying my food, and ugh, heaven! I also tried to eat it with something green on top, and I can say that it's also good. But I can also say that it's not my type. I will root for the mayonnaise pair with buffalo wings!

This is not my order, and it's my grandma's. I am not into seafood because I have a seafood allergy, especially to shrimp. So I just tasted a little portion of it because it looked delicious to me. I am expecting that the food will have less sauce, just like in the picture on the menu, and the bread will be smaller too. The leaf that was put on top is also big, but it's small. Expectation vs. reality, but I think we will focus on the taste here.
When I tasted it, the creamy sauce was so delicious! I am also tasting the familiar taste that I have been looking for so long. The carbonara that my aunt always cooks tasted the same. So I told my aunt about that, and so she also tried it.
If only I didn't have a seafood allergy, this would be the second option that I would order. But all their pasta looks like it's delicious, but they could actually kill me.

This is the coffee drink that I ordered—four coffees of this, actually, because my aunt and my younger cousins ordered the same drink as mine.
Well, the coffee is not too bitter or too sweet. I like how I tasted the caramel blend with milk. I also like that they put a lot of ice in it because I like my drink to be more cold like his. Ops!

My aunt's also ordered a Nachos, which is shared with her family but, sad to say, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it.
I really like their food plating! Especially the coffee lattes that my grandparents ordered. Don't get me wrong. Not because my ex is the one who did it. Okay? It's just that, by looking at it, it's hard to make art on the top of the coffee.
| I didn't get a chance to taste the other food because I was busy eating my Buffalo Wings, and those foods were ordered by other people, so I think I let them enjoy their own food too. But according to their taste, when I asked when it's good or not, they said that the food is also delicious and worth the price. It's just that foods like this are just made to have a more expensive look and design, but you can actually cook and taste them at home. The baby back ribs that my grandpa ordered said to me that they tasted sweet, which reminds me of the food that I ordered at the Tita Gee's food house. So I guess it's tasted the same. |

Hindi na. Kasi matagal na man na yon mga hs pa ako eh and wala na talaga ako pake sa mga ex ko kasi once na ex ko na sila dina ako bumabalik. Healed na ako agad kahit nagmakaawa sila sa kambak nun. Pero pumogi siya ha HAHAHA 😂 Ngayon ko lang napagtanto na ang popogi ng mga naging ex ko tas ang puputi din. Jusko 😭😂 ang hilig ko pala sa pogi pero red flag naman. I'm color blind. 😆 Yung isa lang ang hinde maitsura at maputi pero matalino. 😆
