Hi everyone! Today I'm going to share some pictures of the breakfast I had during my travels to the Penang Island, Malaysia. We stayed there for almost a week so we ate out on some day. But on other days, we made our own breakfast at home. It wasn't just cost saving, but also time saving because the time used for commuting or driving to the food outlets could be used for preparation of the trip of the day without rush.
The brown item in the container is kaya spread which is actually coconut jam. It is made of sugar, coconut milk and eggs.
We were just setting up the table and arranging all the food for the first meal of the day.
This is the bread with kaya spread. The kaya tastes moderately sweet which is good because usually it tastes extremely sweet but this bakery makes it just right.
We also had some cinnamon rolls which were bought from a bakery. It was a large bakery and they had all kinds of pastry items being sold there. The other cakes are butter cakes and marble cakes. I'm not a big fan of them but I like the butter cakes.
My mother made four cups of coffee for all of us. We packed the coffee powder and milk from home. The owner had kettle ready to use.
This is the top view of breakfast. It was very hard for me to get this shot because I'm a short person and I can't carry my arms high enough to get this image perfectly. I ended up capturing unnecessary things but cropped them so the image looks neat.
This is my father holding a cup of coffee and posing for the picture. It's his birthday today so I thought of including a picture of his 🙂
Thank you for dropping by and I wish you a wonderful day ahead!
