Hello, Hive friends! I’ve recently come across this vibrant, healthy juice recipe online, and after seeing it pop up so often, I just knew I had to try it for myself. As we step into this new year, I’ve made a commitment to be more intentional with my health and over all fitness.
I have been more active lately with my trail and road runs and I thought, why not incorporate something simple and nourishing like this power booster shot to my daily routines? If you’re on a similar health journey, I highly recommend giving this a try!
So, here’s what you’ll need to whip up your own healthy juice:
• Turmeric
• Ginger
• Apple
• Lemon
• Pineapple
• Black Pepper
How to make it:
Start by thoroughly washing the fruits and ginger to make sure they're clean. Once that’s done, slice everything into small pieces. Since I don’t have a juicer (yet!), I used my trusty blender. I added a few cups of water to help everything blend smoothly. Make sure you toss in a little black pepper, this is crucial to activate the benefits of the turmeric!
Once everything’s blended to your liking, strain it through a fine mesh sieve to get rid of any pulp and transfer the liquid into your containers. You can store it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, so it’s easy to have a shot ready whenever you need it.
I like to take one shot every morning right after waking up, and I absolutely love the refreshing, zesty kick it gives me. The combination of turmeric, ginger, and pineapple creates this wonderful, energizing drink that helps set the tone for the day ahead.
