I want to share with you the recipe for a meal that can be prepared all year round and during the Christmas season is a must in most Venezuelan homes, such as chicken salad. This dish can be served with the traditional Venezuelan hallaca, which can be accompanied with egg bread and ham bread. This preparation brings back memories of when my mom used to put the chicken breast in a pot with salt and a little bit of seasoning and in another pot the potatoes and carrots and then put everything together to make the salad.
Preparación-Preparation
Luego, pelamos y cortamos las papas y las zahorias en pedacitos pequeños la agregamos en la olla previamente le añadimos agua, se coloca en la hornilla y se deja cocinar hasta que ablanden los ingredientes.
Una vez sancochados se deja enfriar al igual que la pechuga de pollo, para desmenuzar y unir las papas zanahorias.
Then add a little salt and mayonnaise, stir with a paddle until everything is mixed and we can serve it at the table accompanied with bread.
For the preparation of this dish we need chicken breast, potatoes and carrots, the first thing we must do is season with salt and a little garlic, put water in the pot and add the breast until it is cooked.
Then, peel and cut the potatoes and the carrots into small pieces and add them to the pot previously adding water, place on the stove and let it cook until the ingredients soften.
