Those of you who have been to #Indonesia or #Malaysia must have come across this menu. Its contents are plain yellow noodles and it is named Mie Aceh because it comes from Aceh, Indonesia's westernmost province, the area that was worst hit by the 2004 earthquake and tsunami.
#MieAceh is sold as the main menu and the name of the outlet is also named after this menu. In Aceh, where this menu originated, it has become a mandatory menu in every hangout shop. For many people, the taste of Aceh noodles is always delicious, whether sold on the outskirts or in restaurants. Equally delicious, just a different price.
For those of you who like spicy, it's perfect to try this menu. The ingredients are simple;
The main ingredient:
- yellow noodles
- chopped cabbage
- chopped mustard leaves. If available, you can also use carrots, cauliflower or other vegetables according to taste.
- bean sprouts
Complementary ingredients that are all sliced into small pieces:
- ripe tomatoes
- leek
- celery leaves
A must-have is this special seasoning:
Each seller has their own secret mix of spices, it will determine the taste of this noodle so that it will keep customers coming back. The main ingredient in this spice is chilies and other spices which are finely ground and cooked. It will last a long time and can be stored for days. Every time you cook noodles, this seasoning is taken 1 spoon or more according to customer orders. The more, the spicy level will increase.

The choice is seafood such as shrimp, crab, squid, shellfish, meat, chicken eggs or even mushrooms. This time I came too early and only crab and shrimp were available. I chose the spicy shrimp noodle menu because with a mixture of shrimp it wouldn't be complicated when eating it. You can imagine someone eating crab menu right?
