Step-by-Step Guide to Making Tender Corn Buns.[ING/ESP]

Como les exprese en la publicación sobre mi típico almuerzo el cual fue referido la adquisición de una maíz tierno para realizar una cachapas, lo cierto es que de ese maíz desgranado quedo como una 10 tazas las cuales congele para mantener fresca y en buen estado y con la que había decidido que haría unos bollitos de maíz tierno y que los mismo los haría el 16 de septiembre por ser rápidos, además de que tenía gran parte del trabajo adelantado y me serviría para el almuerzo de ese día ya que había planificados realizar compras familiares para ese jueves. Ahora bien los bollitos de maíz son muy típicos en nuestro país Venezuela y aunque se consumen en gran parte del territorio Venezolano son nativos de estado Cojedes y no es otra cosa que envolver la masa de maíz en hojas de maíz tierno, la cual es amarrada para evitar que se derrame la misma. Es importante decir que estos bollitos pueden ser contorno de cualquier comida en nuestro país o simplemente se pueden acompañar con margarina, queso rallado y son un rico desayuno, cena o un rápido almuerzo como lo fue en mi caso. Para ello solo necesitamos tener los siguientes ingredientes:

• Maíz tierno desgranado( en este caso fueron 10 tazas)
• Azúcar al gusto
• Sal al gusto
• Hojas de maíz tierno para envolver

As I expressed in the publication on my typical lunch which was referred to the acquisition of a tender corn to make a cachapas, the truth is that of that shelled corn was like a 10 cups which freeze to keep fresh and in good condition and with which I had decided to make some corn dumplings and that the same would make them on September 16 to be fast, plus I had much of the work ahead and would serve me for lunch that day as I had planned to make family shopping for that Thursday. Now the bollitos de maíz are very typical in our country Venezuela and although they are consumed in much of the Venezuelan territory are native to Cojedes state and is nothing more than wrapping the corn dough in leaves of baby corn, which is tied to prevent spilling the same. It is important to say that these bollitos can be contour of any meal in our country or simply can be accompanied with margarine, grated cheese and are a rich breakfast, dinner or a quick lunch as it was in my case. For this we only need to have the following ingredients:

  • Shelled tender corn (in this case it was 10 cups).
  • Sugar to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Baby corn husks for wrapping



Posteriormente se procede a realizar el paso a paso para obtener los bollos los cuales son:

• Se utilizó en este caso una licuadora pues no contábamos con una máquina de moler para ello se fue agregando el maíz haciendo uso de un bol o taza en la licuadora y así se obtiene la mezcla.

Afterwards, we proceeded with the step by step process to obtain the buns:

  • In this case a blender was used because we did not have a grinding machine, so the corn was added using a bowl or cup in the blender and the mixture was obtained.





• Una vez que se obtiene la mezcla se le agrega sal y azúcar al gusto, aquí en el Oriente de nuestro país es muy común que sean muy dulce yo particularmente coloque poca azúcar porque mi hija @cami.rojas es Pre- diabética o sufre de síndrome del metabólico.

  • Once the mixture is obtained add salt and sugar to taste, here in the East of our country is very common to be very sweet I particularly put little sugar because my daughter @cami.rojas is Pre-diabetic or suffers from metabolic syndrome.



• Lista la masa con su gusto se agregó en las hojas del maíz y se amarran las puntas para evitar se derrame la mezcla.

  • Once the dough is ready, it is added to the corn husks and the ends are tied to prevent the mixture from spilling.



• Se colocó una olla a hervir y una vez la misma este hirviendo se procede a incorporar los bollos de acuerdo al espacio, se tapan y se dejan por un espacio de tiempo de aproximadamente 30 minutos y estarán listos.

  • A pot was placed to boil and once it is boiling, the buns are incorporated according to the space, covered and left for a period of time of approximately 30 minutes and they will be ready.







• Luego de cocinado se procede a desenvolver sacándolo de su envoltura y se coloca en un plato, se pica en pequeños trozos, se le coloca margarina, queso rallado y en mi caso coloque también pedacito de un rico aguacate y listo mi almuerzo de ese día

  • After it is cooked, unwrap it from its wrapping and place it on a plate, chop it into small pieces, add margarine, grated cheese and in my case I also put a little piece of a delicious avocado and my lunch that day was ready.
