I was asking myself why nuke plants aren't smaller?
I mean a nuke plants should be build as a blowable target. as such, as it is impossible to resolve a problem once it start with the "corium" (where is it by the way in fukushima? did it cross the underground river system?)
personally, if I had to do such project it would be small scale units, because once they blow, I would have already casing made, ready to be deployed above it to seal it, with a cave system below already digged to really seal it, and try to limit the damages, furthermore I would use the water vapor heat for something uselfull...
or resaid those mega plant make me think of all the stupidity of the technocrats little pricks without proper management.
however if a certain scale of operation is necassary for breeding wmds, it is another question.
but to provide electricity, and heat, I don't understand the gigantism ideal...
it is impossible to prevent a nuke plants to blow, small or big, however a small unit, is clearly easier to contain that an giant one, easier to put a cover on top (after the explosion) and having already a multi layer cave system below it, to recover again, make it less problematic...
or resaid, if I told you to build 4 giant nuke plants over one of the major techtonic fracture plate area, with moex on top of the reactors in pools on a coast where the word tsunami come from, you would have certainly said what ever your feeders, keeping your salary for your wet hole, would have ask you to do.
but what's the point of all those relays? they cost? anyway...

in a tw, presonnally I target very high nuke plants... civilians... I love the pannic... the cloud of death... and as they are so big, hard to mess, specially with stupid things like rails guns or the famous space spears... nastyer is the retargeting of space object... pure denial... didn't know... and owrst again where will all this energy be used and for who?
the platonicians and their merry band. you know a mega yacht is 500m... that's a lot of ressources... and the funniest a dingy of the IRCG with 5 men, or maybe less can fully take it over... ridicule, and again if they don't can such a moving target prevent a rail gun project, the famous infamous meshes of graphene and more to pass through... imho if a cram could lock a speedy projectile it would need a lot of it to move it... ahhh, look next round is already airborn... then you layer and stake a bunch of rail guns, and even if one is slow to shot again, let's longer than 2-3 sec, it can always be compensated with more...
