BACHATA & KIZOMBA DANCE
PERFORMANCE BY THE STUDENTS
This is a continuation of my Afro Latin Sa Sugbo Series where I share to you our performances during our mini Afro Latin Festival held here in Cebu, Philippines on the last week of July 2022! This was the first time our place had a culmination of talent showcased by students and teachers from different parts of the country.
Besides the 3-day workshop, the students taking classes specifically Bachata and Kizomba from our local dance school/community had to perform on our last day! During that time, I took the Kizomba Level 2 & Level 3! Yep, I took a crash course from the best teachers in town as it was their last time to hold classes. So I grab the opportunity to just finish the course. I should mentioned though that I wouldn't be able to do this not because of Hive! Because of Hive, I get to explore amazing things in life including dancing!
Who knew I would fall in love with Afro-Latin Dancing at the age of 29! Well, age is just a number they say and so we must do the things that fill us with joy so that we won't have regrets in life.
Anyways, in this video, the first part was performed by students taking Bachata Level 1 from Christian & Tracy - Bachata followed by a Bachata Fusion performance their amazing young teachers. Classes are ongoing if you are interested for Cebu-based people. Currently, they are now teaching at Citigym, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino.
The second part was our Kizomba Level 2 & 3 Dance Performance where you can see me at the back part doing my thing! 💃 I considered this performance as my graduation day where we did had a moment. Anyways, it was a blast and thought you should see me dance. So enjoy the video!
