Annyeonghaseyo chingu! (Hello friends!), It’s me Maya, how are you? I hope you’ll doing well, because me, I start my wonderful day with you.By the way, Have you eaten your breakfast/lunch/dinner? Don’t skip it okay?
So today, I have something to share with you, it is one of my everyday lifestyle. and it is Dancing. I know we have different lifestyle but for me dancing is one of my therapy when I get emotionally exhausted. Today let me share with you why Dancing?
Going back when I was in the kindergarten, I really love to dance in every programs, contests and also inside the classroom like activities, I can say that I'm always present. Being an active student and participant, I received the most outstanding and top of the class award. I was so very happy that day, because of that award I have a goal in life. The awards had encouraged me to do better and to improve more.
Then, when I was in Elementary I do the same too. I have joined in different activities and programs. So when I was in Grade 3, I asked my mom if I can join in our Drum and Bugle Corps. Thankfully, my Mom said yes. I have joined in Majorette, every Saturday we have practice and training. Until I graduated my Elementary Level, I've gotten 3 awards, one is Most Cooperative and another one for being a member of our Drum and Bugle Corps and I forgot the other one.😭✌🏻
Fast forward , when I'm in my First Year High School, me and my friends represented our section in a program. Then when I was in Third Year, I joined Dance Entertainment in Bacolod City, where we formed to be a group and we covered kpop dances. Also, we trained well to be synchronized, but after a few months our entertainment was closed because our Manager went back to South Korea. Then, when I was in Fourth Year, one of my teacher requested me to teach the second year students on their performance for the Foundation Week, so I accepted it.
After that, I also make my own cover group and it is called Glazier Movers, where we are covering EXO-CBX. This was my first performance with my group, I remember it is January 20, 2018 at Winnie's Resort, Himamaylan City. Thankfully, we got the 2nd Place out of 6 cover groups.
Second one was held in Bago City Coliseum, our parents was here, cheering with us.
In this event, this is our last event as a 3 members. So, this event was held in Robinson's Bacolod Main Atrium.
When I was in my Senior High School, my class schedule was conflicting with my dance practice because my groupmates was in different schools. Even though we are apart from each other, we have planned where and when our practice so that we can manage our time well.
Unexpectedly, one of my classmates asked me if he can join our group, after that we are getting bigger. From 3 members, we are 7 members now. Our cover group name is UniKon covering iKon.
This event was held in Ayala Malls Capitol Central. This photo was taken by one of the photographer in the event and posted on Facebook. In this event we got the consolation price.
After this event, we also had joined another event where this event was held in SMX Convention Center at SM Bacolod City. But in this event we've gotten nothing, but it's okay, losing is a part of the contest and we accepted it. After this event, our group were on a hiatus.
Lastly in my College Year, I tried to join in another Entertainment where I found my new cover group. Koud Entertainment is one of the best cover group here in Bacolod City.
This is my new group KOUD Pyx1s, in this photo we are covering Everglow at Robinson's Bacolod Main Atrium, this is our Debut stage as a group. Through online voting, we got the Social Media Awards.🤭🫶🏻
Another one was held in SMX Convention Center at SM Bacolod. We have covered the Girls Generation (SNSD). Sad to say, but we lost in this event.😅
This event was my last event with my another group, KOUD V3la covering Red Velvet, last December 4, 2022, this event was held in Alocasia Farm, Gawad Kalinga ERH, Brgy. Sum-ag Bacolod City. We got the 3rd Place here.😊
Through all of this sacrifices and experiences that I have gone through, my parents have never lost their support in my passion. Because they know how I can be happy and where I can be happy. I hope you who are reading this, do what makes you happy, don't let others stop you. If you love that, fight for it, simple as that. As long as we live, let's be happy.
To end this, I will leave with the saying, "Dancers don’t need wings to fly, they can do whatever they want to make their selves shines."
