auf dem bild bietet sich der seltene anblick eines paares, welches eng umschlungen durch die stadt flaniert. inzwischen halten sich paare meistens nur noch am smartphone fest. eines haben beide jedoch gemein. sie bemerken nicht, dass sie beobachtet werden. doch nun zu dem, worauf die abhandlung eigentlich abzielt.
wieder ist ein besonderer tag vorüber. ein tag, den wir unseren amerikanischen freunden zu verdanken haben, welche ihn nach dem 2. weltkrieg ins land einschleppten und der vorwiegend konsumwirtschaftlichen zwecken dient.
es ist der valentinstag, an dem paare, am besten mit besonders teuren aufmerksamkeiten, ihre liebe unter beweis stellen. um so höher der preis des geschenkes, desto größer die liebe und natürlich auch der wert des beschenkten. wir wissen ja inzwischen, dass die güter des menschen, über die er verfügt, ja auch dessen wert aus machen. schlecht für alle, deren brieftasche da nicht mitspielen will. und zu faul sind all jene, deren brieftasche da nicht mithalten kann. strengt euch gefälligst mehr an - seid nicht so faul!
sämtlicher wert wird in unserer fortschrittlichen welt nur noch anhand materieller güter bemessen. hauptsache die handtasche und das smartphone besitzen das richtige logo.
schließlich ist egal, wenn sich das paar nichts mehr zu sagen hat, nebeneinander her lebt und meint, abends gemeinsam den selben film auf der streamingplattform zu sehen, zeuge von besonderer harmonie. beide versinken währenddessen dann noch in ihr digitales paralleluniversum. die serie interessiert dann eigentlich doch nicht so sehr, aber um der harmonie willen wird eben doch mitgeschaut und schließlich stört es ja nicht, wenn neben dem romantischen filmabend mal eben noch ein paar "likes" verteilt und die aktuellen "feeds" gecheckt werden. wird dann aber entdeckt, dass jemand aus dem freundeskreis noch etwas teureres oder angesagteres erhalten hat wird geschmollt und der abend ist gelaufen.
ja wir haben es wirklich geschafft. tatsächlich sind wir die fortschrittlichste nation und generation aller zeiten:
die mutter wird nur noch einmal im jahr geehrt und weihnachten ist zu einer absoluten konsum- und verschwendungsorgie geworden. apropos, hoffentlich ist bald wieder halloween. dann können endlich wieder neue kostüme und dekorationen aus plastik gekauft werden, welche die menschen erschrecken. auf dem eigenen asoizialen netzwerkaccount lässt sich dann endlich mit dem neuen abgefahrensten gruselkostüm aller zeiten prahlen. sicher werden dann da auch wieder mehr "likes" ergattert. denn, ganz unter uns, beim valentinspost, da wurde sich ja schon ein wenig geschämt für das geschenk vom partner. im gegensatz zum valentinstagsgeschenk lässt sich das gruselkostüm glücklicherweise selbst aussuchen.
gruselfilme für einen romantischen abend werden auch ausgestrahlt und die wenigen alpträume sind das dann doch allemal wert.

after all, it doesn't matter if the couple have nothing more to say to each other, live side by side and think that watching the same movie together on the streaming platform in the evening is a sign of special harmony. in the meantime, they both sink into their parallel digital universe. the series doesn't really interest them that much after all, but for the sake of harmony they do watch it and, after all, it doesn't bother them if, in addition to the romantic movie night, they give it a few likes and check the latest feeds. but if they then discover that someone in their circle of friends has received something more expensive or trendier, they sulk and the evening is over.
