Celebrate!
As some of you know, I am in recovery for drug and alcohol addiction. As a person in recovery, I spend a lot of time in the recovery community. One of the places I hang out at a lot is the "Alano Club," where they hold meetings and events. This past weekend, they had a pig roast, and I was asked to bring my equipment and play music during the event. Of course I said yes, and I am glad I did! As a thank you for doing this, I was given free food! Who can say no to free food?
Face painting for the kiddies...
Lots of things to do!
Not only did the club roast a whole pig, they had face painting for the kids, and several raffles going on. They had a 50/50 raffle, a raffle for some car detailing certificates that had been donated, and a raffle for an Adirondack chair that had also been donated. On top of that, they had an awesome DJ playing classic rock and R&B tunes! That DJ was me!
Lots of people showed...
Quite the turnout!
As you can see quite a few people showed up to this event. We had people from the local community come and get food, then hang out and have a great time. Overall, it was a really good time had by all!
