Introduction
The Gorge is American sci-fi ,romantic, action film directed by Scott Derrickson Released in 14-Feb-2025.
The main characters of the movie are Miles Teller or Anya Teller Joy.
Gorge means a narrow path between two hills from where a river flows. By the way, I am watching this type of movie after a long time.
Storyline
At the beginning of the story, a girl named Drasa is shown. This girl was staying in a tunnel for the last 10 days and she was a sniper. The reason for her staying in the tunnel was that she had got a task to kill a government delegate who had come to the nearby airport. When glimpses of her work are shown, it is revealed that she is very skilled in her work and kills her target from a long distance. She was given the task of killing the government delegate, she does the job with great ease and after killing her target, she also finds the bullet cell and keeps it with her. Perhaps she is doing this so that there is no evidence.
In the next part of the story, another sniper is shown whose name is Levi. When Levi is shown, it is shown that he has nightmares every day. Troubled by this nightmare, he sits on the beach and starts writing poems. One day he is doing the same and writing poems while sitting on the beach, when he gets a text from a number and the address of some place is written in the message. He wants to know what is the secret behind this message, so he goes to the address and meets a old lady there. This address is of a restaurant. That Lady starts interrogating Levi. From the conversation of both of them, it is revealed that Levi had retired from the Navy and he was a very good sniper.
The lady asks him if he does any task now. Levi says that some time ago an official told him that he is no longer fit for the task, since then he has stopped doing any task. Then the lady asks him about his family, like whether he has a girlfriend or not. He clearly refuses. Then the lady tells him about a task which Levi had to complete. Now it is known that the lady wants to get some work done from him, that is why she called him to meet here.
In the next scene, Drasa is shown in a cemetery. She goes to the cemetery with her father and places flowers on her mother's grave and then both father and daughter start talking to each other. While talking, she gives the empty bullet cell to her father.
She gives the bullet cell to her father because she does not like killing anyone but she has to do it. From their conversation it is revealed that her father is suffering from cancer and he tells his daughter that he wants to commit suicide on the upcoming Valentine's Day. The reason behind this is that Darasa's mother is also no longer in this world and Darasa also does not get time to spend with her father because he is very busy in his life. Maybe he is trying to take this step due to loneliness.
Drasa now tells her father that she has been selected for a mission and may not be able to meet him for the next 1 year.
Now we are shown that Levi's mission has started and it was the month of September and he is taken to a secret location with the help of an airplane and all his personal belongings are also taken away. Then his location coordinates are determined and he is made to jump from the airplane with the help of a parachute. He reaches a human place and another person receives him. Then that soldier tells him that this area is very deserted and he has not even talked to anyone for 1 year. You can imagine how isolated this place is.
Now we come to know that there are towers under this gorge and a security personal is appointed in each tower. Lavi is given an appointment in the western tower, similarly other people are made in the other towers around. Levy's duty was to check the military equipment daily and patrol around under their area and complete other tasks which were assigned to it. He still did not understand one thing, that's exactly what to guard and why.
Further we come to know that this is a very secret place and one mechanism of this place is that there are such devices installed here which divert the signal so that no one can know the location here. Perhaps that is why in the beginning Levi's mobile phone and all personal belongings were confiscated. There is only one radio here which has a panic button and this is the only thing that works to send the signal out. Apart from this, there is no other means of communication. But it is also not known where the signal sent to him through the radio goes and to whom it goes. Apart from this, many soldiers tell him many things and tell him many other things so that it is easy for Levi to survive here.
Now Lavi asks the soldier if he has to protect this gorge from the people. The soldier says that you have to do the opposite. There are many creatures living in the gorge that can harm the general public. The soldier believes that this gorge is the entrance to hell and those people are its gatekeepers. These creatures are called Hollowmen. Then the soldier tells an old story that many years ago three battalions were sent here but not even one of them returned alive, so from this thing we can guess how dangerous this thing is.
There are about 2400 cavalry soldiers in the battalion.
Now the next day her soldier's duty ends and she hands over her duty to Levi. A helicopter arrives for her but as soon as the helicopter opens, a person from inside shoots him. Levi is shocked to see all this. The soldier is killed by the same lady who sent Levi here and further we also come to know that any officer who is appointed here never survives after the duty ends. This is done for the security of this place so that no one can go out and the information here does not leak out.
Levi works there for a few days and gets bored because of loneliness. After one day he sees that the sound of something being cut is coming from the tower in front and when he looks ahead with the help of binoculars, a girl is cutting the branch of a tree and this girl is Drasa. Levi watches the girl with binoculars for a few days and there was no communication between them, then one day Drasa fires a gun and writes something on a board, then Levi reads the writing on the paper and then they start talking to each other.
Then in next scene we see that some hollowmens are climbing into both of their towers but they both help each other and Levi kills the hollowman climbing into drasa's tower and drasa kills the hollow man climbing into Levi's tower with a gun.
Now I end this story here and if I tell more than this, then if you watch this movie in future, you will not enjoy it. Now you will have to watch the story after this in the movie only, what happened after this and how was the life of both of them in the tower and what problems they had to face and how much struggle they had to do.
My Reviews
The movie was quite good and I can say that this movie will keep you seated till the end and will not let you get bored. In this movie you will get to see action thriller suspense. Especially the thing that will keep you hooked is how they fight those Hollowmans.

I liked it a lot, although I noticed some holes in the story, I found it quite good and the performances were great, there was very good chemistry between the protagonists.
I also like the chemistry between crasa and levi and action scenes of movie are too good.
