CineTV Contest: A Castle For Christmas || A Holiday Movie.

in CineTV4 days ago

I feel I am usually blessed to watch great movies which are masterpieces. Holiday and movies go hand in hand and that’s why so many people not only watch movies when they are free but always make sure to watch in holiday times like Christmas and others.
Luckily for me, I found out about a movie titled A Castle for Christmas directed by Mary Lambert.

Plot Summary

A Castle for Christmas is a blockbuster movie featuring hig actors like Brooke Shields as Sophie Brown and Cary Elwes as the Duke of Dunbar.
This movie opens up in a scene where Sophie Brown, the beat selling American author travels to Scotland because of some bad reviews she’s getting from her fans following the recent book she wrote after killing the male lead.

In Scotland, Sophie visits Dunbar, her father’s ancestral village and one of her books was showed in Dun Dunbar, a nearby castle. Sophie received so many nice complements from her fans in Dunbar village and she was warmly welcomed.
Sophie became friends with the B&B group, a local knitting club in Dunbar village where Sophie reveals that she has a daughter, Lexie, who will be coming for Christmas celebration.

Eventually, Sophie got to know that the Dun Dunbar castle is up for sales which is owned by Myles Dubar, the Duke of Dunbar. Sophie was very much interested in buying the castle but the ill-tempered Myles refused to sell at first but eventually striked a deal with Sophie which resulted them into living together but in different rooms.
Living in the castle was not easy for Sophie as she had so many things to fix in the castle. Since she has created a good bond between herself and the B&B, they helped her take care of all the damages in her room.

I guess Myles began to like Sophie because he one time complained about her being everywhere and helps her get her daughter Lexie, to come to Dunbar village after she her mother Sophie that her dad was getting married again and she wanted to be there. Surprisingly, Lexie came for Christmas celebration with the help of Myles.

One day, Sophie was trying to put a dress on for the upcoming Christmas party and this is how she and Myles realized that they were in love with each otter. They both kissed passionately and he yook her to the Dun Glen Holy Wishing Well which they had so much fun at the pub.

Finally, Sophie and Myles accepted that the two of them were in love. Lexie came to Dunbar for the Christmas party while she went along with her mum, Sophie and Myles. They all had fun.

If you ask me what scene I love most. It’s the romantic and emotional scene. They are just two but I’m sure I still picked them well. I love the scene where Sophie and Myles kissed. Truly, Myles is ill-tempered which Sophie does not like but this is simply a way to make us know that love is above everything.

Secondly, I love the scene where Lexie finally came home. Yeah, she didn’t plan to come to Dunbar for Christmas but she finally showed up which means a lot. It shows the relationship between mother and child which no one can ever come between.

Well, I think we should say all thanks to Myles for making Lexie show up for the Christmas party at Dunbar.

Talking about the soundtracks, they were just so perfect. They gave every scene a befitting soundtrack. That’s how it’s supposed to be and I’m glad that they did justice to it.
The theme of the whole movie is just about the Christmas party and how it resonates with our lives.

So many times, we may want someone to show up for a party or something but bring up flimsy excuses that they may not be able to show up at the party again which made you sad but you then wake up on that morning and find the person by your door. That’s going to be very sweet and that’s what happened when Lexie showed up at Dunbar for the Christmas party. That’s some sort of love.

Lastly, this movie gives hope that the visitor you’re expecting may eventually come around. If I am permitted to rate this movie, it is surely a 9/10. It’s a great one.
