A biographical drama seen from a female point of view that also seeks to be pedagogical.
With a masterful production design, knowing how to represent the spirit of the time and with a classic voice-over structure, it explains that this story is based on true events and that it is narrated by nurse Jean Purly, who will be vindicated, a wonderful Thomasin McKenzie from Jojo Rabbit.
The drama begins in 1968 in Cambridge (UK) where a medical team of Robert Edwards and Patrick Steptoe try to fertilize hamster eggs outside their bodies so that they can develop their pregnancy inside.

The success of this project leads them to do it in women who cannot get pregnant. And they will have radically against the Church, the conservative university opinion, or the Government.
Jean Purly has a great role, she is rejected by her mother and some friends because they see that it goes against the laws of God and nature, and her suffering because she could not have children, and she saw how her patients began to get pregnant.
I also loved Bill Nighy's warm and human role as a level-headed doctor who realizes what a positive contribution he was making to women.
The setting and in general the costumes used for this film are in keeping with the era in which the real events occurred, I think they have done a great job, as this type of film is very necessary to do a very good job in this section.
The music has some very well known themes of the time, but I think some tracks do not stand out much in the moments you need ambient music, but when you need the dialogue to stand out the volume is lowered to prioritize the dialogue.
All in all, a good movie and a nice memorial to these three pioneers in this technique that to this day has made many people fathers, mothers.
