Lawrence Lamont directs a likeable comedy that knows how to make the most of the charisma of its characters, who manage to elevate its correct script into a fun journey with gags that work at the right moment.

It is a film that has generated a lot of critical acclaim and one can understand that because its director knows how to portray the suburbs of LA with authentic charisma and fun, but it doesn't go beyond that and the result is a good comedy that has a great effect in its sympathy and two vibrant and charismatic characters that carry all their good moments on their shoulders.

It's an old-school disaster-situation comedy, which is appreciated and makes it feel cosy to watch. It has some genuinely hilarious moments and some low moments, but all in all it's a decent ride through Los Angeles, paced by a charismatic couple.

The duo of the two actresses, Keke Palmer and SZA, is the great success we find in this comedy.

Both have an incredible chemistry and are reminiscent of those sitcom couples of the nineties, which is one of the great successes that we find.

Both of them take care of the weakest moments of their script and also highlight the inspired moments, an efficient film that in its protagonists has all the right ingredients to succeed. There are a couple of amusing secondary characters and a climax that is quite enjoyable.

The elements that embellish the script are what give this comedy the edge it needs. While it's a script that doesn't go in as a novelty pitch, it plays it safe with everything that works and exploits that doubly, making this comedy twice as funny at times and twice as daring at others. A familiar, but well-executed, ride is the key to enjoying this two friends' journey through the suburbs of LA.

I saw a clip of this film just yesterday on YouTube. In that clip, Keke Palmer had gone to this hairstylist who refused to ginish up with her hair. It was interesting and quite funny. The cinematography, too, is flawless. I can't wait to watch it.
