The story follows Jules, a telephone escort for women seeking to get home safely, who receives a desperate call from Klara, a mother threatened by a killer.

The duality of Martin, Klara's seemingly perfect husband, offers interesting potential as well, the relationship between Jules and Klara, which should be the emotional core of the film.

Sabin Tambrea, as Jules, and Luise Heyer, as Klara, deliver committed performances, .Tambrea captures Jules' desperation and effort to help Klara.

Luise Heyer brings intensity to her role as a woman in peril. Friedrich Mücke, as Martin, is trapped in a role that fails to convey the moral complexity needed to generate interest.

The cinematography uses cool tones and a play of light and shadow to reinforce the dark tone of The Calendar Killer.

It is a fairly tough film in its approach, with a good start, and it is already hooked. In certain sections it is a bit slow, but of course, we are not facing an action product, but rather watching a dramatic thriller,

It is one of those movies that have several plot twists, but it does not end up being round, I mean that if you start to turn the plot, you will be assaulted by many questions and doubts, which means that there are several plot holes that will delight those who fill the spoilers area, but still, the film is watchable and will make you have a hard time while you wait with intrigue for the denouement.

A very interesting film, for several reasons and the topics it deals with: domestic violence, the power that hides everything and grants impunity, the aftermath left by domestic violence, unresolved traumas, hatred of a system that does not work and the courage to break patterns.

Sincerely, I liked it. Entertaining, enjoyable, with a rather unpredictable twist and without giving too many twists and turns. It lasts just enough time without being boring and the performances of the two main characters are impeccable.
