Hello and welcome to the 14TH edition of Cine TV Community Spotlight. The Cine TV Spotlight Series has begun in a bid to boost engagement and interaction in the community and showcase the work of deserving authors.
And it’s all simple. At the end of every week, we spotlight works by authors based on the content, originality, style, and word count. It is not a contest but just our way of creating exposure for the works we enjoyed throughout the week and boosting exceptionally written content by our authors. Simply put, give it your best and have fun while at it, and then we showcase your work here.
So, in no particular order, here are the authors spotlighted for this week:

Title: Santa Claus In Danger
The creative twist on the lore surrounding Christmas was superbly executed. Each scene is well paced and built around a captivating worldbuilding to deliver a convincing narrative to the audience. There's the white-bearded man in a red suit famously known as Santa Claus but called ‘Red’ in this film. (He's surprisingly lean and fit, unlike the fat and potbellied ones). Kudos to J. K. Simmons for embodying this role to a T.

Title: Kraven The Hunter
When i was younger i was always imagining and wanted to see movies and series of all the comic book heroes and villains. We are currently living in era where this is happening but sadly most of the time the result is poor. Kraven the Hunter is another example of a poor film and thankfully i didn't pay to watch it! I won't bore you with details like directors, casting etc and i will go straight with the plot!

Title: Carry On
Generally I like the scenes in the movie. It doesn’t involve a whole lot of fights or gun fights which are generally not my thing. Not to say that I don’t like gun fights but I generally like when they try to make them look or feel real. For me, I don’t think I’ve watched a similar movie to carry all though I am sure there are movies similar to this one out there.

Title: Mufasa: The Lion King
As a parent, we should always be careful what we tell our children though or the way we train them, Scar dad indirectly planted the hatred in him, he knew who Mufasa was, he knew he is the future king but still want his son to be the king and painted Mufasa as a betrayer, scar also made a lot of mistake, he was a coward and not fit to lead, couldn't work on himself to be stronger and always depending on Mufasa yet he was angry...

Title: Splice (2009)
To recap the plot of this Sophocles tragedy: Laius, King of Thebes, receives a prophecy from the oracle that his own son will kill him. When that son is born, Laius pierces the infant's ankles and instructs a servant to take the child into the wild and leave him to die. The son does not die, but is raised by another king, and is named Oedipus. When Oedipus grows up, he hears a prophecy that he will kill his own father. He leaves home to avoid this fate. On his travels he encounters a man, gets in a scuffle, and kills the man. The man, of course, is Laius, his true father.

Title: The Nightmare Before Christmas
After so long without having seen this great cinematic jewel, one of the very few that Disney has dared to bring to the big screen, now I completely reaffirm my impression and fascination for this film. We can talk a lot about its story, as well as its iconic and unforgettable characters, its gothic and particular style, its animation quality that still remains intact to this day and even its fantastic soundtrack and unforgettable songs.

Title: K-Cinema Triple Threat
The last and the one with the best kiss scene I've seen in short movie, maybe it's just me though but I had goosebumps when I first watched the scene (yes, I've seen it over and over since after the first time lol). The storyline isn't very special though, just about a magician with a blue eye who saves a soon to be wedded princess and they both fall for each other as expected.

Title: The Woman KIng
Where do I start from? The storytelling. There's just something about the way the story is told. Right from the beginning, you're immersed in the world of Dahomey right from the beginning to the end. Then the acting. I especially loved Viola Davis's performance in this movie, she owned the role and played it to perfection, I already mentioned her character Nanisca was my favourite. Another standout actor for me was Jimmy Odukoya. He fit the role perfectly and was a very good villain in my opinion. All the actors did well, to be honest, though I'd say I didn't really find John Boyega a very convincing king.
And there you have it! Congratulations to all those spotlighted this week. We look forward to more exceptional content. And to everyone posting in the community, we look forward to seeing more of you around.

Thank you very much for shining a "Spotlight" on my blog. I read some of the others highlighted and liked @kemmyb's especially (I did see that movie). Looking forward to seeing Carry On.
Thanks so much for reading my review on Red One and I'm glad you've seen it too. I hope you enjoyed it as much. Carry On seems a fine choice for the weekend. I have it on my pc and may watch it soon! ☺️✨
Hi @kemmyb, I always enjoy your reviews. You have a way of summarizing the plot that makes it quite clear whether or not someone might want to watch a show. Yes, I did like the movie. Light fare I needed for a little R&R. J.K. Simmons is one of my favorite actors. Manages to be comic by inflecting his voice and changing his facial expression ever so slightly. And the Rock--he's always fun to watch.
Thank you! ☺️ And I completely agree with you about J K Simmons and The Rock. Their performances in the film are unforgettable. I hope you have a relaxing weekend. ✨
thanks a lot!
