Hello and welcome to the 20TH edition of Cine TV Community Spotlight. The Cine TV Spotlight Series has begun in a bid to boost engagement and interaction in the community and showcase the work of deserving authors.
And it’s all simple. At the end of every week, we spotlight works by authors based on the content, originality, style, and word count. It is not a contest but just our way of creating exposure for the works we enjoyed throughout the week and boosting exceptionally written content by our authors. Simply put, give it your best and have fun while at it, and then we showcase your work here.
So, in no particular order, here are the authors spotlighted for this week:

Title: CODE 8
The pursuit, it felt impotent, underutilizing the authority and influence of the baddies. And that then led to story conveniences that stretched the narrative unnaturally. Something that kneecaps the presentation is that a major reveal comes about pretty early on in the movie. Although I don't think the reveal is anything groundbreaking or something that you wouldn't have guessed. But because it comes relatively so soon in the story, there's no mystery to keep this intriguing. The narrative is solely dependent on action then to carry it.

Title: Hometwon Cha-Cha-Cha
From the bottom of my heart, I’d rate this show a 10/10 as it’s the first Korean drama I’ve seen this year and it was more than I expected. The characters played their parts well and never failed to crack me up with laughter through every episode. The plot was good because I didn’t know what to expect next and that kept me going episode after episode until I exhausted the whole show. This how thought me the importance of support and building good relationships.

Title: Patrick or Patricia: Another Nollywood Dramedy
I loved the angle the storytelling took using the modern day reality of life where we meet people every now and again in real life - on the street, at the mall, at workplaces or social media who are cross dressers or choose to transition from one gender to another for reasons best known to them (not here to judge what’s right or wrong as that’s not the POV). Nobody pretended not to know it was a male dressed like a female going by the coarse baritone voice.

Title: Cinema Releases
Well, on my birthday, in December, one of the movies that shaped my childhood was also released and this is interstellar 55555, the anime movie that compiles the entire Discovery album by Daft Punk, and that I would have liked to see in theaters. Along with this and due to the re-releases I have seen in theaters, I thought of several movies that I could not see in theaters in its passage through the billboard and now I just want them back to enjoy them on the big screen, as it should, with good sound and in the best possible quality.

Title: The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call
One of the pillars of the series is that there is no time for love dramas, we will have action in every chapter that maintains its main focus: every second is necessary to save a life. We will see practically nothing of the personal lives of the main doctors, and we will be the eyes in their emergency exits to be of help in the biggest accidents in the capital. I will not deny that several situations are presented a bit exaggerated and not very credible, but it is the fault of fiction and comedy, something that can be easily ignored.

Title: The Wolf of Wall Street
At the beginning, the main character is a simple man who pursues his American dream while maintaining his values. What we would call a good person. However, as soon as he starts to become successful and earn large amounts of money, he transforms as if you turned a sock inside out. He is then this greedy, womanizing, arrogant, despicable wolf who doesn't know how to stop until his excesses bring him to the bottom. DiCaprio's performance astounded me.

Title: Kill: An Indian Classic
Kill sheds light on how these bandits manipulate things in their favour so they can rob trains. Things take a turn in event when one of the bandits die early on in the heist. One of the bandits as a revenge also decides to kill one of the passengers knowing fully well that she’s a daughter of a very powerful man in the town. Well, I’d say I like a story line like this. For various reasons most Indian movies seem to have a story like where the girl and boy are inlove and the man is a very strong man which allows him to fight for his girl and then they live happily ever after. Well, this movie is not one like this.
