Cine TV Contest #109 - Favorite Movie By a Comedian

in CineTV6 months ago

Hello CineTV

Sometimes comedy is the only thing that can break me out of a bad mood. Laughter may just be the best medicine. Recently I have been using stand-up comedians material to help me laugh through some stressful times. And while watching/listening to one of those comedy videos this latest contest was born.

Comedians tend to make some pretty hilarious movies. You all definitely hit on some of my favorites with your reviews but if I was entering I probably would have chosen the movie, "Happy Gilmore" by Adam Sandler. Luckily, I can't enter my own contests! :)

Thanks to everyone that entered and now...

Let's get to the winners!

First Place

The first place finisher was @nbarrios67 with See No Evil, Hear No Evil, found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@nbarrios67/cinema-tv-contest-108-favorite-movie-by-a-comedian-concurso-cine-tv-n-108-pelicula-favorita-de-un-comediante--see-no-evil-hear

This is a great choice! I love both of these actors and this movie is truly funny. So many hilarious moments and a true classic. Thank you!

Second Place

The second place finisher was @florecitamejias with a choice of The Count of the Guacharo, found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@florecitamejias/cinetv-contest-the-count-of-the-guacharo-comedian-of-my-country-en-es

I have obviously never heard of this comedian but it sounds like he has done a great job parodying movies. Congrats!

Third Place

The third place finisher was @lvadlr with Little Man, found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@lvadlr/cinetv-contest-littleman-2006

The Wayan brothers first got my attention with the show In Living Color and this movie continues their fun brand of comedy. Thank you for your entry!

Congrats!

450 CINE COINS will be transferred to the winners.

Now if anyone disagrees with our choices then please tag us in a comment on this post!

And let's move on to the new contest!

Favorite Movie from the 1980's

Not to give away too much about my age, but I was definitely in my formative years in the 1980's. There was something magical about that time especially in American films where some of the most iconic movies were created. Think about all of the original movie ideas that came from the 1980's that are still being used today! Star Wars (technically started in the 70's), Ghostbusters, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Top Gun, Die Hard and to top it all off Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

The 1980s were an amazing time for growing up because of just how special cinema was and how original so many of the movies were. I want you to tap into that 1980's cinema magic and pick a movie during that era to highlight and review. The movie does not have to be American made so feel free to pick something from the 1980's from another culture if you so choose.

Specific rules to be considered for winning are:

  1. The movie HAS to be from the 1980's (and I will check!)
  2. You must tell me why this movie best represents that time in history

Those are some suggestions for your entry. Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to read your selections!!!

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to tag me in the Discord channel (caulderfreeman). Enjoy this week's contest and good luck!

The 80's ... now we are talking, mind you my favourites will be British films!

Wow what an honor, thank you for this first place, I have been having a lot of problems with my internet, however I am preparing a great post for the contest related to the 80's films. There are so many to choose from, I'm sure I will see some great entries here in the community. Thanks for the opportunity to express ourselves that the community gives us movie lovers.

Just one movie from the1980s? There’s too many to name!

Hi, a question here.

Up to how many movies can we mention?
