The movie 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, which very successfully addresses and reflects the internal turmoil that can occur in a country, is about the attack against external forces in Libya in 2012.
Let me state at the outset that this is a war movie. It is said to be the true story of 13 hours in the American embassy and CIA base, which became a target after the local forces were incompetent and did not take enough precautions.
Most of the time, seeing the story from only one side, there are omissions or redundancies in the representation of the facts, but who cares about that! Every movie is worth watching as long as it is successful and every movie has its audience.
Aside from the attack by local groups, the movie shows the defense more than the attack and what happens inside during the attack. Compared to most of the war films I have seen, I can say that the fact that almost all of the story takes place in defense makes the film special. I enjoyed it more than many war-themed movies.
The visual effects used in action scenes and explosions were remarkable. The limited defended area ensured that the clashes were very close. Especially the atmosphere created during the clashes on the rooftop drew the audience into the story and provided extra excitement.
My favorite moments and the ones that I thought best reflected the sadness of war were the rooftop scenes.
The fact that the 13-hour period spans from day to night, and that most of the attacks take place at night, makes for a more impressive reflection of the environment. The darkness of the night is successfully used in the atmosphere of the movie, making close contact inevitable in the conflicts and giving the viewer the feeling of being there.
All of the actors' performances were good, but I would like to single out John Krasinski as Jack Silva. While he successfully conveys the emotions of a soldier facing the realities of war, he perfectly portrays the fear and fatigue he experiences. He tells the ugly face of war to the audience in the best way possible.
Inspired by real events, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi was a visually satisfying and very impressive war movie. If you don't mind the political messages of the movie, I am sure you will enjoy it.
I recommend the movie to everyone who loves the genre. It should be noted that in some scenes representing the bloodshed of war, the image of severed limbs may cause discomfort.

Probably the most underrated Michael Bay movie. While it’s not exactly his best, it’s definitely worth it. And it’s certainly better than all that Transformers crap.
It can be a disadvantage to drag things out too long. I agree with you about the Transformers series, but it has certainly created an audience for itself!
