It Ends with Us - First Loves Unforgettable

In addition to the themes of love, childhood trauma and self-discovery; It Ends with Us, which, in my opinion, successfully deals with the fact that “first loves are never forgotten”, can be your door to a romantic journey today.

And I would like to add that it is a production that made me admit that some movie stories have the power to affect people deeply.

Lily Bloom (played by Blake Lively) takes the brave step of starting her own business and starts a new life. The new life confronts the character early on with the reality of meeting new people and she falls in passionate love with the neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (played by Justin Baldoni).

Lily Bloom's childhood traumas, her first love and her perspective on life are the factors that shape the film and deepen the story. The character's way of coping with all the problems and finding solutions makes the story enjoyable.

We see her struggling to find a balance between healing the wounds of the past and setting sail for a new love, while her first love reenters her life. You can forget the usual paths to follow in such conflicting situations because the paths that Lily Bloom's character develops and follows are not the kind that I could easily think of.

I think the fact that a different path is taken in a story that can be considered clichéd not only contributes to the fluency of the movie but also adds to the pleasure of watching it. It triggers an incredible sense of curiosity about what will happen as the story progresses. Lily Bloom gives an extraordinary performance that single-handedly provides all of this while showing the audience that there are always secondary and tertiary options and that despair can be overcome more easily than one might think.

Childhood experiences of domestic violence and efforts to break the cycle are the climax of the story. The efforts to confront rather than accept definitely deserve appreciation. Blake Lively, who brings the character to life, may have given hope back to many women who have experienced similar difficulties in real life.

The emotional intensity and depth the actress brings to her character reinforces the theme that what she portrays is not just an act, but the voice of millions of victims of domestic violence.

What I valued most about the story is that it deals with deep and important issues such as learned helplessness. As you watch the movie, you are inevitably pushed to think about these and similar issues. At the same time, there are messages of hope and spiritual healing, emphasizing that what happens is not fate but a choice, which can be said to be an example for many people in similar situations.

I recommend you to watch It Ends with Us, which takes the viewer on an emotional journey between the past and the future, with a story that is both thought-provoking and impressive. It confronts the complexity of love and the fact that some wounds do not heal even after many years.

And I think one of its greatest teachings may be “the fact that first loves are not forgotten”.

Thank you for being here and reading. Have a good weekend and take care of yourself, goodbye!
