It is a feature film for the first time in the early 2000s. A war film that tells about the incursion of a group of American rangers into an apparent peacekeeping mission in Somali lands.
Somalia was going through a civil war period.The city was a general chaos.Hunger, violence, anarchy and death, were the four kings of that nation.
The UN maintained military forces to try to mitigate the reigning chaos and the Rangers were part of those pacifist forces.
Other military intervention groups moved in parallel, with the purpose of capturing hostile leaders.
The narrative speed of the first minutes usually seems too slow although as we approach the climax, the speed becomes a psychological effect to catch us in the plot of the protagonists.
At the beginning of the film, soldiers are shown with a high level of trust, good humor, as if the surrounding war could not reach them.Others, the least, felt the impotence of not being able to do anything to the abuses they witnessed daily.
In the middle of that hotbed of violence that was the somalia of the 90s, a group of rangers flown the city in its powerful black hawk helicopters, while an elite force tries to catch a terrorist leader.
Suddenly all the distance that separated the Rangers from the Somali chaos, is erased by an anti -air shot.A soldier falls first, premonizing the other falls that would accentuate the message of the film. No one is safe in the war.Forts can also die.

El cine es una de las más efectivas memorias de los tiempos. La manera en que los realizadores recogen los hechos o profetizan, combinando arte, ciencia, historia y ficción, llega a sorprendernos con filmes que se ganan un lugar de privilegio en nuestros archivos.
Es por eso que hoy quiero comentarles acerca de una película que me parece como una escena que se repite de continuo en muchos rincones de este planeta nuestro. Me refiero a : la Caída del Halcón Negro"
Se trata de un largometraje exhibido por primera vez a inicios de los 2000. Un filme bélico que narra la incursión de un grupo de rangers norteamericanos en una aparente misión pacificadora en tierras somalíes.
Somalía atravesaba un período de guerra civil. La ciudad era un caos general. Hambre, violencia, anarquía y muerte, eran los cuatro reyes de aquella nación.
La ONU, mantenía fuerzas militares para intentar mitigar el caos reinante y los rangers formaban parte de aquellas fuerzas pacifistas.
Otros grupos de intervención militar se movían paralelamente, con el propósito de capturar líderes hostiles.
La velocidad narrativa de los primeros minutos suele parecer demasiado lenta aunque a medida que nos aproximamos al clímax, la velocidad se va convirtiendo fn un efecto psicológico para atraparlos en la trama de los protagonistas.
Al principio del filme, se muestra a los soldados con un alto nivel de confianza, buen humor, como si la guerra circundante no les pudiera alcanzar. Otros, los menos, sentían la impotencia de no poder hacer nada ante los abusos que presenciaban a diario.
En medio de aquel hervidero de violencia que era la Somalia de los 90, un grupo de rangers sobrevuela la ciudad en sus poderosos helicópteros Halcón Negro, mientras que una fuerza de élite intenta atrapar a un líder terrorista.
De pronto toda la distancia que separaba a los rangers del caos somalí, es borrada por un disparo anti aéreo. Cae primero un soldado, premonizando las otras caídas que acentuarían el mensaje del filme.nadie está a salvo en la guerra. Los fuertes también pueden morir.
La caída del Halcón negro es una crónica del horror, una cicatriz en la memoria de los que aman la guerra. Mención general para la puesta en escena; quiero decir, grupo actoral y cuerpo de dirección, todos de excelencia. Yo, sin embargo, me quedo con el dolor que transmite la historia, la vergüenza de nuestra incapacidad para buscar la paz y la justicia, y la certeza que el filme nos revela. Somos vulnerables.
