I've been getting into Korean dramas during the lockdown after I ran out of other content. As a fellow asian, I identify with them more than english dramas. Some things that I love:
😋Delicious food featured in most series
😊Insanely good looking people
😁 Entertaining plots
😛Short 16-20 episodes (mostly)
Here's my list of binge-worthy shows:
What's wrong with secreatary - A narcissist vice-chairperson's secretary quits after 9 years and gives him sleepless nights and a chance at loving someone other than himself. I adore the chemistry of the main leads. The male actor plays a losable narcissist and convinces you to root for him despite this flaw. The office environment with exaggerated characters adds to the charm of this show. The guy who's the first to know office gossip, the one who boasts about his degrees, the workaholic miser who only has one business suit...
Reply 1988 -If you grew up in the nineties, you'll identify with the nostalgia of this show. About a bunch of friends from the same neighborhood, their stories through the years intertwined with their families, this drama is a slice of life that is equal parts funny and tearful.
It is narrated by the main couple's future self but the audience remains in suspense till the end as to which of her friends the female lead ends up with.Let’s eat- If you’re a Korean food aficionado, or want to experience it from the comfort of your own home, this is the
show for you. A mistrustful female lead who prefers to be alone except while eating meets a gourmand neighbour and grudgingly for a a food club. The descriptions and cinematography of the food are mouthwatering and the show is food porn on steroids.Crash Landing on you - Ever wondered about life in North Korea? The show follows our South Korean female lead who unwittingly ends up there and falls for a soldier. The show has everything - high fashion, drama, comedy, evil military personnel, money grubbing siblings, and some serious eye candy.
Chief of staff - a political thriller that follows the life of a man who has come from nothing and become a kingmaker. The twists and turns are cleverly woven along with unexpected backstabbings, issues of morality and a strong couple who often get caught at cross purposes. A show that opens up the raw, destructive side of politics with panache.
You might want to check out Wok of Love too! I think you'll like it based on your list 😀

I'm watching a Korean show called Sisyphus on Netflix. It's amazing.

Really? Maybe I'm being conservative here. I prefer English dramas more. I don't particularly watch K-drama because I associate them with soap operas and stuff.
You say these ones are binge-worthy? I may just check them out!
Where have you been hiding, madam? 😄
