I just finished watching Click Bait and all I can say is wow. This is probably the best investigation movie of this morden era.
I like how they put in every possible aspect of social media. The very name Click Bait is what they do to you in the movie. I found myself moving from episode to episode from when I started watching it yesterday.
It is s story about a man who suddenly starts trending on the internet for all the wrong reasons, and by all the wrong reasons I mean...every wrong reason.
His sister a nurse, while attending to a patient sees a viral video of him (Her brother) on the internet. In the video, he hold signs saying that he abuses women and that he will be killed when the video gets to 5,000 views.
In addition to this distressful message is the fact that he looks beaten up.
The video is only the beginning of a story that dates back 2 years ago into the very first day of work.
The video leads to investigations first by the Missing Person's unit of the police force. A rather unconventional way of beginning their investigations which usually starts after 24 hours.
In the course of trying to sort things out the man's sister (the nurse) makes friends with one of her patients who is a computer nerd anddevelopes means of finding him. Clues along with help from social media lead to the sighting of the man.
I am really doing my best to keep the movie fresh because I would hate me for spoiling it if I were you.
The movie features investigations into the lives of each and every person directly involved in the story until "The Answer" is gotten.
It starts with "The sister" and ends with "The Answer" and will keep you engaged from start to finish.
It gets a 5 star rating for me.
Thanks for reading this review...
Let me know what you think about the movie!!
I loved it too
I just started watching this and I'm into episode 2. It was a little soon so it blew my mind the outcome.
I can't wait to see what else is on offer in the next few episodes. Great post.
This looks like an interesting one and I haven't seen Adrian Grenier in anything since Entourage. Thanks for the recommendation I'll need to queue this one up soon. Seems to be available on Netflix
You are welcome...
Yeah it's on netflix
