From the creators of American Horror Story. This series starring one of my favorite actresses Sarah Paulson, tells the story of Mildred Ratched, a nurse who has a very strange interest in working in a psychiatric hospital.
By getting into the psychiatric hospital through blackmail and cunning, Mildred is on her way to achieve her main goal: to rescue her brother.
En ese momento no se sabe porqué comete el crimen, pero, no satisfecho con esto, decide esperar a los cuatro curas que salieron para asesinarlos también. Consigue matar a tres, ya que uno de ellos tuvo la suerte de escapar.
The series begins by showing us a group of priests having dinner and planning to go to the movies. Of the 5 priests present, 4 of them decide to go out except for one who preferred to stay at home. Left alone, he decides to go to his room, but at that very moment a man appears at his door asking for lodging (since it was raining), the priest lets him in, offers him food, but to his misfortune, he murders him.
At that moment it is not known why he commits the crime, but, not satisfied with this, he decides to wait for the four priests who went out to kill them too. He manages to kill three of them, since one of them was lucky enough to escape.
El hospital está a cargo del doctor Hanover, el cual cuenta con todo el apoyo de la enfermera jefe Bucket, ya que está enamorada de el. Ésta enfermera en particular no confía mucho en Mildred.
Hanover consigue que el gobernador financie el hospital, éste lo hace en beneficio propio, ya que necesita ser reelegido en las próximas votaciones. Mientras por otro lado, Mildred manipula a un paciente para que se suicide y después se ofrece a deshacerse del cuerpo, para tener un secreto que la una al director.
Six months later we meet Nurse Mildred Ratched, she is determined to work at the Lucia State Hospital, which is an insane asylum, as I had already said.
The hospital is run by Dr. Hanover, who has the full support of Head Nurse Bucket, as she is in love with him. This particular nurse does not trust Mildred very much.
Hanover gets the governor to finance the hospital, but he does so for his own benefit, as he needs to be re-elected in the next election. While on the other hand, Mildred manipulates a patient into committing suicide and then offers to dispose of the body, in order to have a secret that will bind her to the director.
Aquí nos damos cuenta del porqué del interés de Mildred al querer trabajar en el hospital, ya que evidenciamos que nada mas y nada menos el asesino de curas en su hermano. Edmmund sería condenado a pena de muerte, pero para evitar esto, Mildred hace creer a todos que está loco.
Returning to the murder of the priests, this was provoked by Edmmund Tolleson, who is transferred to the asylum to be prosecuted or simply to pass him off as insane.
Here we realize the reason for Mildred's interest in wanting to work in the hospital, since we see that nothing more and nothing less than the murderer of priests in her brother. Edmmund would be condemned to death penalty, but to avoid this, Mildred makes everyone believe that he is insane.
Edmmund begins having relations with a nurse named Dolly, who loves dangerous men and who, according to Mildred, is a nymphomaniac.
En esta parte de la serie se muestran los distintos e innovadores métodos para la época, que tiene el hospital para tratar a sus pacientes, como la Lobotomía y la Hidroterapia, donde supuestamente tratan de curar a una mujer del lesbianismo. Todos sabemos que aquí no hay nada que curar y por ello, ese tipo de tortura disfrazada de terapia nunca llega a funcionar
Mildred goes to see the only priest who was alive the night Edmmund committed the crime and pretends she wants to see him in prison. All this is done in order to give him a Lobotomy so that he will no longer be able to testify against Edmmund. Something very important to mention is that Mildred recorded the conversation she had with the priest. This will be important for later.
Gwen, la mano derecha del gobernador invita a Mildred a almorzar y entre ellas hay mucha química, pero Mildred, como es tan conservadora, no logra aceptarlo. Después de hablar con una mujer a la cual le iban a hacer Hidroterapia por se lesbiana, decide idear un plan para que evitar que se realizase el procedimiento, ayudando a ella y a otra a escaparse del hospital, todo esto con la ayuda de un camillero, Huck.This part of the series shows the different and innovative methods for the time, that the hospital has to treat their patients, such as Lobotomy and Hydrotherapy, where they supposedly try to cure a woman of lesbianism. We all know that there is nothing to cure here and therefore, this type of torture disguised as therapy never works.
Gwen, the governor's right-hand woman, invites Mildred to lunch and there is a lot of chemistry between them, but Mildred, being so conservative, is unable to accept it. After talking to a woman who was going to undergo hydrotherapy for being a lesbian, she decides to devise a plan to prevent the procedure from being performed, helping her and another to escape from the hospital, all this with the help of a stretcher-bearer, Huck.

It was so unfrtunate for Edmmund to have murdered those priests, I mean what for, the authority should not have allowed the murderer to go free. It's a nice movie review, that has lessons to teach.
There is an explanation for everything in the series, Edmmund has a reason for doing it (although it is not justified).
