Were you not thrilled when watching Squid Game Season 1, or did you read too many spoilers beforehand? Come on! Even reading spoilers before watching, Squid Game Season 1 was just something else! Emphasis on Season 1 because, in Season 2, we already knew where the show was heading and what to expect, even though the final season is still in progress.

Squid Game is a survival game series I already knew about before watching, but I did not expect such a genuine, intriguing show filled with thrills and suspense.

The Red Light, Green Light Game:

My interest was piqued from this scene, I even had to pause the show to go grab a bottle of Coca cola because I realized I had a very entertaining journey ahead.
This was actually my first time learning about the Red & Green Light game, even though it is popular in the Asian continent. After the rules of the game were announced, I thought there would be some mercy for those who failed. Little did I know, it was going to be a complete massacre.

This game had me wondering, "If this many people are being killed in just the first game, who is going to survive until the end?" The merciless and brutal killings had my eyes wide open, making me even more eager to see the next game and how many would survive. Before watching this, I had seen other game-based series, but none compared to this, where lives are taken in such large numbers, with no second chances, only the strict rules of the game being followed.

Just watching the first game made me understand why the show was getting so much hype. It was absolutely worth it! The producers, actors, and actresses did an excellent job.

Squid Game is a Netflix Korean series, a survival-based story where participants engage in deadly games that initially seem childish. Their goal? To win a huge amount of money to solve their financial problems. The participants all had some life issues, mainly financial struggles, and were gathered from different corners of Korea to an unknown island where the games were held.

The most interesting part was how the series portrayed human greed. At a certain stage, the organizers gave them an option to stop playing, share the money won so far, and go home. But no, greed took over. Many chose to continue playing, even after witnessing the brutal killings of other participants right before their eyes.

The plot was well-crafted, and the blend of emotional depth and human greed made it even more entertaining. It was not just the games that were captivating; the hidden agendas, especially the secret harvesting and illegal trade of human organs outside the island, added another layer of intrigue. I also cannot forget the gripping subplot involving the police officer who was trying to uncover the organization's secrets.

Season 2 and Beyond:

In Season 2, Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, who won at the end of Season 1, returned to the game center with the goal of dismantling the game and killing the organizers. However, things did not go as planned, and events took a turn for the worse.

Now, we eagerly await Squid Game Season 3, and I hope it lives up to the high standards set by the first two seasons.
