CineTV Contest #129 : Thrilled to watch "Rise"

Welcome to my blog.

When I saw CineTV contest #129, I smiled because I had just finished watching a movie that thrilled me.

The movie is titled "Rise".

Seeing this movie of recent made me wonder why I didn't watch it all these while because it's not a new movie.
It's a 2021 movie.

But, I am so glad I am able to watch it because I could have missed out on this entirely.

In as much as I am not really a sports person, especially basketball, I enjoyed watching this movie because of it connection to family and survival.

The movie tells the importance of determination, family oneness, right parenting skills, and survival skills.

When the movie started with the couple running away, leaving their baby for greener pastures, I wasn't really happy about that.

I could have appreciated it if they worked so hard in their country.

Instead of running and hiding from immigration, without a life and an identity.

Then, she became pregnant.
You can barely survive on your own, still you guys went ahead to bring someone else to the picture.

But they were able to handle the situation and did well on their own.

I love their parenting skills towards their four boys in Greece.

How they made them understand family oneness, the importance of working hard, and determination.

I love how the children grew up to be so responsible and focused.

They understood their background and didn't let it weigh them down.

They were so mature and handled their challenges so well.

In most cases, the children could have indulged in unpleasant acts just to get an identity.
But they didn't.

Even when the two older brothers picked interest in basketball and had to share a booth taking turns to play.
They never allowed how their peers looked down on them to affect their performance.

They worked so hard in whatever they did and accepted lots of unpleasant circumstances, believing in the best.

Of course, their hard work brought great cool results and united their family to live happily.

I enjoyed watching this movie.

It thrilled me, and I could enjoy watching it over and over again.
