You're right about the woodpeckers, he should just laser them too, but I guess all logic is already out the window in this skit π.
I have in the past experimented with crocheting plastic bags into other things, it's a very smart repurposing. We mostly use canvas bags for shopping, so we don't ever get many large bags, mostly our waste consists of tiny unrecyclable mixed foil/plastic package, things like black pepper, spices, glue, and other items are sold like this. We've reduced our household waste to just a small handbag per week, but no matter where we take it, I think the end result is that it gets burned.
I like the Indian incinerator idea you shared, hope this technology becomes affordable and scaleable in the future, but right now burning plastic would release too many dioxins. I did see a page about building a water mist trap to catch plastic smoke, but then I'd just be stuck with some toxic water that I don't know where to put. It's clear longterm we need to become more self-reliant concerning food, and this will go a long way in preventing trash accumulation in the future.
Theoretically you could use the #aseanhive tag outside the community, but I personally have not found time yet to curate outside the community, so I don't really search for the tag. It is however something I would like to change in the future, because curating beyond the community would increase general awareness of ASEAN Hive.
It sounds like there's really no solution to the trash problem, at least for the average citizen π’...
I wonder if that toxic water could be filtered somehow? If so, the resulting waste should be very small, and could be disposed of maybe once a month or so, in a bigger city that has a landfill?
It really could be a good way to get more people in the community :) ... Especially if you include a short intro of what it's about, and that everyone can join in, etc
We've kind of realized the best we can do is just to reduce as much as possible, then only throw trash away in places we know it won't ultimately get burned. I'd love to organize a trash truck for the village to come once a month, but I bet residents here wouldn't even donate one dollar to such a cause.
Hiring a private car back and forth is around $20, so I imagine a commercial sized truck or even a fully loaded pickup truck would be enough to take care of our village for one month. That's around 50 cents per person per month, and all of the soldiers generally make at least $300 a month, easily affordable, but that money is gonna get spent at the casino instead.
I wonder if a Hive initiative might work, at least to start it off and get everyone used to a clean village? Similar to the borehole project in Africa... The truck would feature the Hive sticker with link, as would the barrels.
Also, if I do a post or two before Christmas inspired by Mey-Yii, would you be willing to hold the funds for her as HBD, and use it to make what will probably be her first Christmas special?
I loved this skit or whatever it was. Turning everything into a tree. Don Cheadle was priceless as Captain America. Having a hard time finding comedy skits this funny nowadays but perhaps I'm not looking hard enough.
Yeah Don Cheadle in those skits/episodes was fantastic. Loved basically every second of it lol.
Iβve never heard of Shane Gillis but I just watched about five of those skits and the live stand-up in Austin Texas. Laughed super hard. The bit about his drug-addicted sister felt a little dark but the rest was pretty hilarious. Iβll have to watch more of his comedy and the Gilly & Keeves stuff.
Somehow I totally missed this post π€£ and you are on holiday for a whole week yo! I haven't seen the original Captain planet, after watching these minisodes, don't think I wanna find out what the original was anymore π€£π€£π€£
There wasn't a movie that I recall, just the original cartoon series and the parody YouTube shorts. I prefer the parody over the real thing though because I am a comedy fan.

hello bro, sorry before, my account was muted from your community and has been labeled Post Dumper, I'm very sorry for what I've done, but I can't comment on other people's posts, because I have very little hive power. If given a second chance, I will do my best for all of us in the Asean Hive community you have, for your information, I appreciate, thanks sir!
Greetings, sorry for the late response. Your account appears to be inactive, no comments for 23 days other than this one since you were muted in ASEAN Hive. I would consider unmuting, but you still aren't showing any genuine engagement on Hive.
thank you for replying to my message, the problem is that I don't have much hive power, which means, If I make a post I can't post my comments again, and if you haven't unmute on your community, I will never be able to do comments, voting and so on. Please give me a solution, and guide me sir, I'm very new in this hive blog, thanks.

Then why didn't he just turn the woodpeckers into trees too π€£
Why not let the girls make one???
Here's some links that might help with the plastic bag situation :) ...

How much would it cost???

It is pretty classic, and even after several watches it's still funny.
I remember de series but never seen the movie, it looks really funny
