Some movies are made to be skipped but not the one I'm going to talk about today. My friend recommended this movie for so long but after seeing the movie's poster I was thinking of not watching it, after watching this movie I realized how much a great masterpiece this is for the people who want to laugh.
Years back I thought that Hollywood could never make great comedy movies but this movie has proven me so wrong by presenting this masterpiece to us.
This movie is kind of something that makes us feel that "ohh man I can watch thousands of movies like this". Now the exciting part about this movie is that it has 3 parts, The Hangover 1, The Hangover 2, and The Hangover 3
The Story
The movie starts by showing that Doug (Justin Bartha) is about to get married to Tracy (Sasha Baresse) in 2 days, so his best friends, Stu (Ed Helms), and Phil (Bradley Cooper) decide to host a bachelor trip to Las Vegas before his wedding in which Tracy's brother (Alan) is also going on with them.
For the trip, Tracy's father lends Doug his Mercedes to make it worthwhile and tells him that only he can drive the car as he treasures it so much. Then, Doug takes his car and picks up Phil from the high school, as he is a school teacher, and Stu from his house. Stu lies to his girlfriend Melissa about the Las Vegas trip and instead tells her that they are going to Napa Valley for just a wine-tasting trip because she is toxic, manipulative, and has a controlling personality. After that, they start their journey to Las Vegas.
Las Vegas
After that, they arrived at Caesars Palace, where they had booked two standard rooms for the night. At the reception, Alan says they should book something more exciting and grander, which Phil agrees with. They end up changing their decision and booking a luxurious villa.
After settling down, they got dressed and went up to the hotel rooftop and made a toast with drinks that were spiked with drugs by Alan, which he thought were ecstasy, but they turned out to be roofies instead, which caused them to forget everything about the night. From here onwards, is where the main story starts.
The sun rises, and we can see Stu sleeping on the floor with a lost tooth and Alan roaming the house naked and drunk. On his way to the bathroom, he finds Phil sleeping on the floor, too, and while he is peeing, he sees a living tiger in the bathroom. After he saw the Tiger, he ran out of the toilet, saving his life, and hit his foot on Phil's body, waking him up, too. Phil doesn't believe Alan and confirms it himself. After that, He comes and sits in the lounge with Stu and Alan. They start talking about Doug, where he is, and that he can't be seen anywhere. Then, Phil calls Doug's phone to check on him, but his phone is in the lounge where they are all sitting down. Then they get up to go out and look for Doug. Suddenly, they hear the sounds of a baby crying inside the closet.
Solving the mystery
They opened the closet, but the main issue was that they didn't
even know who the parents of the baby are. Knowing that they took the kid with them. They go down and order food to eat something. Meanwhile, Stu looks for Doug but can't be seen anywhere. Then they see Phil wearing a hospital wristband and get confused about why he has it in his hand. They all check their pockets to find anything to help them reach Doug, and Alan finds a valet ticket, leading them to the hospital.
Hospital Visit
After that, while on their way to the hospital, they saw a mattress on the rooftop of the hotel; then, in the hospital, they asked the doctor if he knew something; he told them that they were 4 when they came last night, and they were all drugged in their drinks and that they were coming back from a wedding before they came here.
Wedding Chapel
Then they went to the wedding chapel, and the owner recognized them and congratulated Stu on his wedding again, which had happened last night. He was shocked as no one remembered what had happened the previous night. Then, the owner showed them the photos from last night. They again rest assured that at least Doug was with them at the wedding. They asked Jade's (Stu's wife) address to ask if she knew something
about it.
Finding Jade
When they reached Jade's apartment, she was on a call with her friend, saying how her baby had gone missing and that she couldn't find her; she got out of her house while being on the call and saw his husband with his friends coming towards her, with a baby which belonged to her. Then they sat down and started talking about what had happened, and Stu found out that she was wearing the ring she was going to give to her girlfriend, who was her grandma. At that time, Stu learns that her wife is a stripper.
Mr.Chow
After that, they went to take the Mercedes back from the valet, and soon after receiving it, they got ambushed by the gangsters led by Mr.Chow (Ken Jeong), claiming that they stole his 80,000$ in the casino and asked them to give the money back if they want their friend Doug back and he also appreciated Alan on his card skills.
The Tiger
Then they returned to their villa, finding out that Mike Tyson was sitting in the room with his bodyguard; Mike Tyson knocked out Alan with one punch, demanded to bring back the Tiger, and gave them 1 hour. Thinking about what to do, they devised a plan to provide the Tiger with meat mixed with roofies so they could drag him easily. After the Tiger gets knocked out, they put it in the car and drive in the Mercedes. They all panic when the Tiger wakes up mid-journey on the road; it wrecks the vehicle from the inside, shredding the seats and causing damage to the dashboard. Then they start pushing the car because they can't sit inside it anymore. Like that, they reached Mike Tyson's home.
Alan's Show
After delivering the Tiger, they returned to their villa and thought about how they could get the $80,000 to get his friend back from Mr.Chow. That is when it hit Alan, and he showed them "The World's Greatest Blackjack Book," which he had all this time and had been reading throughout their trip.
They dressed in suits and went to the casino. Alan and Phil were partners and Stu and Jade were their friendly opponents with the others and they started winning money on money; at one point, the workers got shocked, thought it was suspicious, and couldn't let them play anymore. Jade realized it and fell onto the worker who was coming to stop them, and at the same time, Alan and Phil ran away when they got the chance. Ultimately, they made $ 82,400$ and went to Mr.Chow to get Doug back.
The Retrieval
They met in a deserted place where there was no sign of livingness. They asked Mr.Chow to show that their friend was okay before they gave him any money. He brought Doug in front of them with his face covered. They gave Mr.Chow the money, and he gave them Doug back. When they uncovered his face, he was not their friend and not someone they knew, but Alan realized that he was the person from whom he bought those drugs, and his name was Doug, too.
They didn't know what to do at this point, and Phil called Tracy to tell her about the situation and how Doug would not be able to attend the wedding. At the same time, Doug (the drug dealer), Stu, and Alan were talking in the background, and Alan casually mentioned how their night started. It clicked Stu's mind that it might be possible that he might be on the roof, as the mattress was found there as well.
They rushed back to the hotel, went straight to the roof, and found Doug fully tanned out from the sunlight and dehydrated. He was relieved yet frustrated about it. He couldn't say much as he had to attend his wedding in a few hours. They thought of taking a flight to the wedding quickly, but all the flights were booked, so they had to go on the Mercedes. Stu's wife was waiting outside the hotel for him to come and say the greetings, knowing that what he did was not intentional, and gave him his ring back. Stu, knowing her girlfriend, tells Jade that he will come back next week and that they will start over again.
On their way back home, Doug finds a pouch of $80,000 in his pocket, and they all cheer about it, as that was the money Mr.Chow was talking about. They change clothes on their way home so they won't be late. Tracy is relieved after she sees Doug.
The wedding happened, and then Melissa approached Stu and started talking to him rudely, asking why he was not picking up his calls and where he was. Stu found courage, told her everything, and broke up with her.
In the end, Tracy's dad calls Stu and gifts him the Mercedez, which assures him that he doesn't have to tell him about the car's situation. All 3 best friends sat down together laughing about what happened. Alan brought a camera which
had pictures and videos of last night and they agreed to watch it once and then destroy the evidence after looking at it.
