RE: CINETV COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER | 2023 | ISSUE 6

Cameron Diaz is an actress and model who I first saw alongside Jim Carrey in the film The Mask, stealing scenes with her beauty from Jim Carrey. She has proven herself to be an excellent comedienne in films such as The Sweetest Thing, Bad Teacher, Very Bad Things, My Best Friend's Wedding, What Happens in Vegas, The Hollyday, Charlie's Angels, Knight & Day and especially There's Something About Mary. I forgot, she is also the voice of Fiona in Shrek. It's not all good, Sex Tape is a stilted, bad comedy and The Green Hornet, in which she also stars, is a really terrible action movie.

She has excelled in drama in films such as My Sister's Keeper, Any Given Sunday, Beeing John Malkovich and Vanilla Sky but she looks very bad in Martin Scorsesse's Gangs of New York, which I think is a casting mistake. As for the sci-fi in The Box, he did what he could but the film is very confusing, being very kind to it by not saying the word bad.

She has been absent from film for almost eight years, even though at one time she was one of Hollywood's highest paid stars. She is a solid actress, more given to comedy than drama, who has been in forgettable films, which she attributed to bad scripts.
