I’ve always said I’m not really a fan of Korean drama but my movie list these days says otherwise. I’m seeing more Korean drama these days than ever in my history of watching shows. If I remember right, when I was back in school around 2021/2022, I had most of my friends talk a lot about this series but I ended up watching it and in 2025 and here’s why I’m sharing it with you today.
Shin Woo Yeo, a fox who had lived for over 200 years without becoming human like his other mates ends up loosing his magical bead which played a huge part in his transitioning to human to the bubbly Lee Dam on a random occasion.
Shin Woo Yeo however, has to find ways and means to get his bead out of Lee Dam as it’s an energy draining one which could drain all her energy and she could end up dead. In order to do this, he had to find ways and means to draw her closer to him, make her understand the situation and get the head out of her.
But, Lee Dam is determined to make the stone cold Shin Woo Yeo transition to being human after centuries of trying. Will this end in a good way or all her efforts will be in vain? You’d have to find out!
Looking at how fast I was able to binge this show, you obviously know it’s a good one and so I’d give it a big rating of 9/10. The story line was not just the usual Korean romantic story where two people clash on the walkway and fall in love later. It was deeper.
This movie thought me about the importance of supporting and carrying each other along. Along the line, we saw how Yang Hye Sun who was a former fox made sure to always support Shin Woo Yeo, pushing him to transition to human for faster even with their love hate friendship.
Another lesson I took from this show was to give people the chance to change at their own pace. No one thought Shin Woo Yeo would eventually become human because he wasn’t really one to care. But the people around him kept on nudging him bit by bit until he eventually made it at the last moment.
This show is one I’d totally recommend to anyone as it’s really worth the time. I hope you enjoy it when you do decide to see it!
