I somehow seem to be seeing crazy movies a lot these days. A few days ago, I stumbled on this movie and decided to watch it. Little did I know I’d be grossed out to the core and stop watching it half way. But somehow, I stumbled on another series and this series is one that has been able to spark my curiosity and keep me glued till the very end for days.
The first thing that caught me about this movie is the main character, Nadia who is in the person of Natasha Lyonne. I’ve loved her since she starred in the series orange is the new black and I was more than happy to binge another show from her. So, let’s see what she’s got for us in the drama.
How weird does is sound to have to die on your own birthday. Well, Nadia , a bright young IT lady with a good sense of humor is invited to celebrate her birthday at a party organized by her best friend ,Maxine. At the event, she uses the washroom and leaves, only to bump down the stairs and die. Next minute, she’s alive again in the bathroom right before the mirror. Unbelievable right?
She goes out and leave the building only for her to die again in a different situation. Next minute she’s up again in the same bathroom in Maxine’s house right before the mirror. You’d lose your mind if you were the one right? Yeah me to.
Nadia finds herself in this loop of dying and waking up over and over again with no clue of what was happening. Any time she tried to prevent dying, she died. On a random near death experience for her again, she chances on Alan, a young man who had also died many times and these two start to find out what was going on with them. Eventually they were able to figure things out by going into a time loop to make sure all occurrences matched to prevent dying again.
With childhood trauma and what have you, they both find themselves traveling through time once again after they were able to stop their dying loops. Will their travel through time to the past to live the lives of their ancestors in order to set things right be the key to the clarity they both seek?
Personally, this movie was one brain teaser for me because I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. One minute it’s this and the next minute it’s that. At some point, I even stopped to ask myself the whole point of the movie but all I could tell myself was, you’ll find out.
I’d give this movie a 9/10 for the good sense of humor it came with. The main character never disappoints when it comes to humor and the supporting characters also performed to the maximum best. This series is one to see if you’re ready to go through hours of thinking and figuring things out. It’s a really good one with is worth watching.
Enjoy your day.

Okay, this one hit me deeply. I'm definitely taking note of it. Would have been nice if it were a single film. How many episodes is it?
