The expanded DC cinematic world returns with a new movie in the character of Batman again.. the character we have seen in the most cinematic work before, so the question remains: Is there anything new about it and is there anything new about the world of Gotham City? We start first with the character of Batman, performed by actor Robert Pattinson, who did not make many excited about him when it was announced that he would play the character of the Bat, but his performance makes the movie worth watching. His rendering of a dark and sulky performance with a harsh, lifeless feature was perfect, and he added a kind of seriousness that came integrated with the dark, corrupt and crime-ridden character of the events.
The character of Catwoman or Catwoman from the performance of actress "Zoe Kravits", it can be said that she did not perform an impressive performance that makes you remember and talk about him after the end of the film, and at the same time it was not a bad performance that ruined the events or detracted from them.
The Penguin character, played by Colin Farrell, was interesting but unfortunately did not get a large part of the action of the film, as it was almost a secondary character that was not focused on more although it could add a big touch to the film. This is without forgetting that amazing makeup and effects that completely changed the features of Colin Farrell to the point that you will never recognize him.
Finally, the character Riddler or the villain in the movie that was the most completely disappointing thing. It can be said that it is a replica of the Joker character only in terms of its role in the story, that evil character that provokes Batman and spreads terror in the city and at the same time tries to hold the corrupt in it accountable, the same thing that the Joker was doing in previous films such as The Dark Knight.
Unfortunately, the success they were aiming for when her role was assigned to the young actor "Paul Dano" was completely lacking. He presented a faint, artificial performance that detracted from the seriousness of the story, and did not give that sense of danger and darkness, as did, for example, the Joker character in The Dark Knight presented by the late "Heath Ledger".
Between the character of Batman by Christopher Nolan and this movie by his director, "Matt Reeves"
It can easily be said that they can not be compared, Christopher Nolan's trilogy is difficult to match, not with regard to the character of Batman or the villain in the movie, which was here the character of the completely bad Riddler. In fact, yes the movie is worth watching, especially for those looking for dark and serious movies. Batman was not in this movie a supernatural character who does things out of the ordinary as we see in the superhero movies, as he was like that detective who comes from the dark and solves the crime mystery without dazzling or heroic scenes difficult for the average person.
