I think it's a good journey overall. If the show ends up being as good as everyone thinks, it would be cool finding how, why, and when it became that way. I think it also speaks to how tough it is to start a show, even if the overall vision is much better.
Yes, I usually also keep watching even if something doesn't grab my attention totally from the start. Sometimes you may be super surprised.
